20 anni edit

Does WP become a fully adult (maybe it did in 2019 already?) at next b'day? Ema--or (talk) 23:48, 31 December 2021 (UTC) Or Anglo-bias?Reply

What's next edit

When's the next major one? four years? next year? Ema--or (talk) 23:50, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

2o years, & the. anniversary edit

Well, this is an anniversary page. First. Fancy actually talking about one. More soon. Ema--or (talk) 00:08, 1 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, its late. I suppose I can take a little more time. Much as I want. Well, it's been over 2 decades, billion edits and 6m articles (indeed, even more than 21 years as I write, with 21st having recently passed, happy 21st 'pedia).

Over a decade ago, one donor once said in French, knowledge has no price (as opposed to the usual expression on freedom). Still true. But mostly importantly it's free (or at least no additional costs). For all the bickering that goes on everyday, this is (was?) a cool milestone. If you're reading this you're part of its success story. Scratch. You are it, its very own success story. We need it more than ever these days of misinformation, for this.

Happy 20th year anniversary (wikiversary?) in arrears (hmm, but does it make sense?) and a happy 21st birthday year and 22nd year, as well as 22nd b/day in advance.

Celebrations, good and distanced as they were, agree on, with a anniversary/wikiversary, such may be marked in a better way.

I wish the project a long and successful future (and if it ever ends a good preservator). Ema--or (talk) 22:15, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
