Modern World History covers the time from 1500 to the present. Over 350 years of that time, the Atlantic Slave Trade was legal and resulted in over 12.5 million Africans captured, transported and enslaved on new continents. This assignment identifies British merchants in the eighteenth century who owned slave ships and participated in the slave trade. This assignment will also address, if possible, the number of humans transported and the wealth accumulated by this single merchant due to participation within the legal trade of humans.
