Articles within the Westerns Television task force will typically follow the Manual of Style for the Television Project. Articles should follow that project's naming conventions and notability guidelines.

Tagging and assessment
editAny articles that are within the scope of this project should be tagged with the project banners of WikiProject Westerns and WikiProject Television. Be sure to add television=yes

Infobox templates

editFor television articles, the following templates exist under the Television Project:
- {{Infobox television}} should be used for a television show (but not for television films or miniseries).
- {{Infobox television season}} should be used for a season of a television show.
- {{Infobox television episode}} should be used for an episode or special of a television show.
People
editFor actors, writers, characters, and the like, the following infobox templates may apply:
- {{Infobox character}} should be used for a fictional character.
- {{Infobox person}} should be used for a person of any profession. ({{Infobox actor}} has been redirected, but is still in use.)
- {{Infobox awards list}} should be used for an actor's list of awards.
List article templates
editFor episode list articles, use the following:
- {{Series overview}} creates the series overview table. Should be used if there are 2 or more seasons.
- {{Episode table}} creates the table and table headings for a list article.
- {{Episode list}} creates the individual items/rows in an episode table (this is a submodule when {{Episode table}} is used).
