The New Jersey State and County Route Newsletter
Issue 7April 27, 2007

Issue #7

The seventh edition of the WP:NJSCR newsletter. From this point on, newsletters will be periodic, depending on the condition of the project.

Project News
  • During the 6 months since the last newsletter from WP:NJSCR, NJ has grown expoentially. There are now 4 Good Articles with 2 currently at Good Article Nominations:

The good articles are: New Jersey Route 18, New Jersey Route 33, Interstate 295 (Delaware-New Jersey) and the newest one: Palisades Interstate Parkway. The 2 articles on for nomination are New Jersey Turnpike (One of our higher priority articles) and County Route 612 (Middlesex County, New Jersey).

  • A to-do list has been posted on the project page, with a more detailed version at WT:NJSCR#To-do list. The simple version:
    • Ensure that all freeway exit lists are up to exit list guide standards.
    • Make sure all infoboxes have the new maint= parameter.
    • Make sure the straight line diagram is properly referenced in the infobox.
    • Add a major intersections table to each article.
NJSCR's most controversial County Route article finally makes its mark in Central Jersey
  • Middlesex County Route 676 was at one time NJSCR's first Good Article and the only article on an unsigned County Route in NJ. The article has been laying around for several months since its incarnation in 2006. However, in April 2008, the Middlesex County Highway Department finally signed the highway as CR 676 on blade signs at the intersection with State Route 27 (the Lincoln Highway). This signing will hopefully put the dispute to a rest.
