Bookku, first, the editor is Cynthia Gordon, the ISBN is ISBN 978-1-64712-109-9. You should add at least the editor's name to your cite, otherwise it is hard to find the work in catalogues. Second, the work does not appear to have been published just yet (per the publisher, Barnes & Noble). Someone might have (advance) electronic access (eg through Project Muse), otherwise it will take several months after publication until the volume is available from libraries. — Pajz (talk) 06:35, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Massive request - Latin American music charts of the 2000s decade edit

I'll be honest, this is going to be a pretty big request. I am requesting articles that list the top 10 most played songs of the week on Latin American countries in the 2000s decade. My Newspaper.com and Newspaperarchives.com accounts have expired and I am currently awaiting approval. From the Newsbank search, the earliest is from July 2003 with the publisher being named "Latam". The articles are titled "diez canciones mas populares" and from 2006 onwards is "10 canciones mas populares". Except for one article dated December 31, 1999, I cannot find articles for music charts prior to July 2003. If possible, I would prefer to get the articles zipped by year to make it easier to sort. I would really appreciate it! Erick (talk) 02:32, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Paywall source access needed to confirm source relevancy edit

Hello! Can anyone access this: [8] source? It is used on Jacksepticeye for an explanation as to where the channel name came from, however the name makes me think it has nothing to do with the statement, so I tried to look at the source, however it required that I either register my email to get access for free for the next 24 hours (Which I'd rather not do since I receive enough spam in my email already) or start a free trial.

Five pages from an academic source edit

For the origin-related details of Muzaffar Shah I, I need copies of page nos. 38–42 of the following academic source:

I can see the following relevant details on the page no. 39 (via Google Books' snippet view), but the five pages are needed to avoid misrepresentation of the source:

relevant quotes

Traditions which seventeenth-century writers incorporated in their works about the origin of the founders of the regional dynasties of Nagaur and Gujarat in the beginning of the fifteenth century not only shed light on the social mobility of low-caste converts to Islam but also hint that close contact with the Muslim élites could have attracted some Hindus towards Islam. According to these traditions, Zafar Khan, the founder of the Sultanate of Gujarat and his brother, Shams Khān Dandanī (who founded the principality of Nagaur) were the sons of Saharan, a member of the Kalāl caste. According to Shaikh Kabīr Bāținī, Saharan married his sister to Firūz Shāh, and this marriage was followed by the family's conversion to Islam. Saharan and his brothers were honoured with high ranks and titles.81

The footnote no. 81 mentions:

... The early official historians of Gujarat are silent on the origin of Zafar Khān. Sikandar bin Manjhū is the first Gujarati historian to deny the validity of the traditions about his low origin. He corroborates Shaikh Kabīr in so far as the details of the marriage with Firūz Shah are concerned but twists the facts about Saharan's social background. According to him, an ancestor of Saharan was expelled from the Khatri caste because of his weakness for wine. Since then the family had been fond of wine and its members were called Nāyak ...

Palaiologos genealogical studies edit

  • Bierbrier, M. L. (1988). "The Paleologus Family: Fact and Fiction". The Genealogist: 74–77.

For various articles on the Palaiologos dynasty. Two requests here, I can't track down either of these. The first is a genealogical work - I am aware that full books are not permitted to be shared here, but I do not know how many pages this book has or how its content is organized. It might be massive, it might just be a short pamphlet with some family trees and some text. The second request is for a journal article which I assume is either a response to the book or adding further information not in it.

Thanks, Ichthyovenator (talk) 14:09, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ichthyovenator, the length of the first is viii, 125pp (https://discover.libraryhub.jisc.ac.uk/id/33890826). As for #2, do you know if that is The Genealogist / Association for the Promotion of Scholarship in Genealogy (New York, NY; 1.1980 - 10.1989; 11.1997 -; ISSN: 0197-1468) or The genealogist : official journal of the Australian Institute of Genealogical Studies (Oakleigh, Vic.; 3.1980 - 12.2007)? — Pajz (talk) 14:37, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Pajz I see. Withdrawing the request for the first one then, will see if I can eventually track down a copy of my own somehow.
