Recent Professional Wrestling News

On March 1, Pro Wrestling Noah announced that they had signed a new television deal with Samurai Television.
On March 2:

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced that they had signed an agreement with Fox Turkey to broadcast Friday Night SmackDown across Turkey.
On Raw:

Randy Orton announced that he would use his opportunity to challenge for a World Championship that he won at the Royal Rumble to face Triple H for his WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXV.
Shawn Michaels defeated Vladimir Kozlov in a singles match to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXV, in the process ending the near-eleven-month undefeated streak of Kozlov in televised singles competition.
Bill Watts was announced as the fifth inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2009.

"The Boogeyman" Marty Wright was released from his WWE contract on March 4.
On March 6, Sonjay Dutt officially announced his contract release from TNA.
It was reported on March 7 that Kaleb O'Neal had been released from his WWE developmental contract.
On March 9:

"Ryan Braddock" Brad Bradley and "Kizarny" Nick Cvjetkovich were released from their WWE contracts.
On Raw:

John "Bradshaw" Layfield defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion CM Punk to win the title; this win also made Layfield the tenth Grand Slam Champion and twentieth Triple Crown Champion.
Koko B. Ware was announced as the sixth inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2009.

On March 13:

Andrew "Test" Martin was found dead in his apartment in Tampa, Florida. His cause of death is currently unknown.
Ric Flair made his Ring of Honor debut at a live event in St. Louis, Missouri.
