To-do list for Wikipedia:WikiProject Pharmacology/To-do: edit · history · watch · refresh · Updated 2009-08-31
Assessment department
- Use all the quality classes listed at Category:Pharmacology articles by quality. We currently do not use the A-, Category or Template classes.
- A formal (though not mandatory) process for rating articles as B- or A-class quality
- The B-class articles could just have a checklist in the banner, as implemented by many other projects (see examples below)
- The WP Assessment Team recommends looking at the following projects' rating processes:
- The assessment scale with example articles provided is available here. Please comment!
- An active Request for Assessment (Peer review?) section
- A revised Importance scale?
Templates department?
- Customizations to our banner, including the incorporation of assessment comments, criteria checklists and attention flags (e.g.,
needs-attention , needs-infobox )
- See Template:Film for a particularly amazing example.
- Given our size, I don't think task forces are appropriate. Perhaps things could be split up into drug articles vs. other articles (pharm concepts, etc.)
- The GA, Peer review, etc. flags aren't really necessary; they're more easily accomplished with the ArticleHistory template...
- A page that shows all the available pharmacology stub templates
{{drugbox}} and its documentation
- Too little documentation
- a field list that explains each parameter would be nice...
- Too much documentation
- Both the template and its documentation are HUGE. There's a reason provided for this: "Drugbox allows a consistent interface to other sources that provide information about a drug, fixed drug-combinations, vaccines or monoclonal antibody drugs." In other words, it's all about CONSISTENCY. Well, why not have drugbox as an abstract template, and develop
{{infobox drug}}, {{infobox combodrug}}, {{infobox mab}}, and {{infobox vaccine}} ?
Organization department
- A new way of categorizing pharmacology-related articles has been proposed here. Check it out, and add your thoughts here.
