Sources

edit
Books, online resources, etc. that will help in writing and editing
  • Corning, Howard M. Dictionary of Oregon History. Binfords & Mort Publishing, 1956, for important people pre-1950.
  • History of Portland on Google books so you can search; or download it in PDF (free!) here.Scott, Harvey (1890). History of Portland Oregon. D. Mason & Co., Syracuse.
    • The PDF is a good option if you want to print it out (or part of it - it's over 600 pages) - but it doesn't allow you to search text; the Google page is better in that respect. (When searching text, note that the book contains some misspellings.)
    • This book has also been republished on the web by Access Genealogy, which is an easy way to search it: http://www.accessgenealogy.com/portland-oregon.htm
  • Chapman Publishing Company (1903). Portrait and Biographical Record of the Willamette Valley, Oregon: Containing Original Sketches of Many Well Known Citizens of the Past and Present.
