I am seeking to pass this article for AL class. It is a listing of American Civil War engagements for the year 1864. Wild Wolf (talk) 17:17, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comments: I have made a few minor tweaks; I also have the following suggestions:
- you might consider adding alt text to the images: [1];
- in the lead, "detached to Lee. (See Bermuda Hundred Campaign)". There is probably a more elegant way to include the link in brackets. Can it be worked into the prose at all?
- "lack of supplies. (See Red River Campaign and Camden Expedition.)". As above;
- repetition: "To deal with these raids effectively, Grant consolidated the various military departments in the area into the Middle Military Division, commanded by Philip H. Sheridan, to deal with the Confederate forces in the Valley." ("To deal with these raids...to deal with the Confederate forces...") Perhaps this could be reworded?
- in the References, can page numbers and ISSN be added for the Stinson work?
- in the References, can places of publication be added for Brooksher, Cooling, Josephy, Kennedy, Knight, Parrish, Sword, Symonds and Trudeau?
- "File:Battle of the Wilderness.png": probably needs a US pd tag on the licence page in addition to what is already there. AustralianRupert (talk) 02:41, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This and the other Troop engagement articles have no mention of the engagements in the Texas campaigns of the civil war. For example the Battle of Laredo in 1864, and the Battle of Brownsville in 1865, ect.XavierGreen (talk) 23:55, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
