Welcome to WikiProject Leibniz. This collaboration resource and group is dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. If you would like to help, please add yourself as a participant in the project, inquire on the talk page, and see the to-do list, below.
Goals
edit- This project is focused on increasing coverage of primary works and links to open source material created or authored by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. The ultimate end goal is to enable human readable and computer-accessible / machine-accessible versions of Leibniz's works. The project aims to facilitate access to Leibniz's thinking and concepts.
Scope
edit- The main Leibniz article indicates there are over 200,000 pages of written and printed paper. In 1985 a joint program of German federal and state academies embarked on publishing this material. At this time, some 57 volumes of the Leibniz critical edition has been published, but some material has not been seen in public, and access to the material in English is limited. This project aims to cover all this material and also extract and bring attention to Leibnitizian items and concepts that have never seen the light of day.
