Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Database Report

This report is created by moss code to help Guild coordinators identify articles in need of copy editing.

Suggested ways to get articles off this report:

  • Appropriate for copyediting - tag article with {{copyedit}} and delete it from this list. Copy-paste tag for punctuation: {{copy edit|for=spacing around punctuation}}
  • Article needs heavy cleanup - tag article with {{cleanup}} and delete it from this list.
  • Uses "you", "your", etc. a lot but not ready for copyedit - tag article with {{you}} and delete it from this list.
  • Article not ready for copyedit but could use spelling fixes - two options:
    • Move to the "Problem cases" section with a note and Beland will take care of it.
    • Fix the typos with "." and "," in them. This will prevent the article from showing up on this report, but the other typos will automatically show up on moss main listings for the Typo Team to fix.
  • Words flagged as typos appear to be real words, technical terminology, parts of titles or quotations, or foreign words: Move to the "Problem cases" section with a note and Beland will take care of it.
  • Unsure or it's complicated: Move to the "Problem cases" section with a note and Beland will take care of it.

  • 13 - Feminist art - "quilts,Christa", "it's", "there's", "that's", "there's", "aren't", "they're", "that's", "that's", "you", "you", "you", "you" – Proposed for merging. Miniapolis 23:18, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • 9 - Apple Watch - "options. They", "your", "your", "your", "your", "your", "your", "you", "you" – Tagged for splitting. Miniapolis 16:00, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • 10 - Thom Russo - ... "Doesn't" – part of a title. Dhtwiki (talk) 07:59, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • 29 - List of television episodes titled Pilot - "Dicky,and"... – only the first, a spacing problem, and that was a redundant title I removed; the rest are likely parts of titles (I didn't check them all, as it seemed obvious). Dhtwiki (talk) 08:15, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • 24 - Zamalek SC - "We'll", "You're", "We're", "we'll", "We'll", "you're", "We're", "we'll", "We'll", "year.Zamalek", "your", "you", "your", "you", "you", "you", "you", "your", "your", "your", "your", "you", "you", "and/or" – all but "year.Zamalek" and "and/or" are within a quote template or two. Dhtwiki (talk) 05:58, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • 19 - Negan - ..."there's"..."won't"..."..."didn't", "you" – at least some instances are parts of quotes. Dhtwiki (talk)
  • 16 - Varshangalkku Shesham - "earnest,but", "isn't", "he's", "isn't", "isn't", "he's", "doesn't", "doesn't", "doesn't", "isn't", "he's", "didn't", "she's", "it's", "doesn't", "didn't" – only the first error, "earnest,but", appeared (and had been corrected) on any version going back to 4/18. Dhtwiki (talk) 06:43, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • 16 - Sharana Basaveshwara Temple - "intervened. He", "your", "your", "your", "your", "your", "your", "your", "your", "your", "you", "you", "you", "your", "your", "you" – all but the first, a spacing error, are parts of quoted material. Dhtwiki (talk) 06:50, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • 8 - Boilover - "oil, max", "oil, min", "slopover", "slopovers", "slopover", "frothover", "slopovers", "slopover" – all seem to be legitimate technical terms. I only found "boil, max" and "boil, min", within mathematical markup. "slopover", etc., all seem appropriate, non-hyphenated spellings. Dhtwiki (talk) 05:40, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • 8 - Boggart - "they're", "boggat", "boggerd", "bugart", "buggart", "your", "clutterbumph", "plungers.Kamen" – "b..." are spelling variants and were within single quotes at the article. "clutterbumph" was without quotes, which I've added. The other three I fixed in regular fashion. Dhtwiki (talk) 05:54, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • 7 - Nursing - "WHO's"... – acronym for World Health Organization seems legitimately placed and un-punctuated. Dhtwiki (talk) 02:00, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
