Hint 1: Over 4 consecutive days - He scored 111 one day without being dismissed the next day was washed out. He scored 5 runs the third day, was out but his team won. Then on the following day he resumed on 111 and scored considerably more. This last day was such an event that I skipped out of school early to go to the ground to watch. More common than not, indeed in some cases you'd get a v b in the CC, and then b v c and d v a in the Sunday league as well

It was indeed "Bowler of the Century" Frank Allan. His article mentions that he turned down the opportunity to play in the first ever Test match but doesn't add that it was because he preferred to spend the day with friends at the Warrnambool Agricultural Fair.
