- Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
- The idea is the join the important WikiProject Mammals, but creating a sub-group on Bats. This Wikiproject has an important number of participants and already worked on many pages of bats species. However, due to the high numbers of mammals species, and the importance given to the big mammals, the idea is to create a specific sub-group on bats. We would like to involve the bat community on wikipedia, giving a frame for articles and visibility with this sub-Wikiproject. The idea is to involve local group working on bats to update articles during specific events, as well as member of the wikipedia community that already worked on the bat articles.
