Shieldfy is a cloud software that monitors and protects websites from attacks, analyze them, detect vulnerabilities that caused them with Instant response.[1]. The company founded in late 2015.
Shieldfy is a software development kit (SDK) used by CTOs and web developers to protect their web applications from development to production stage.
Shieldfy blocks the request with no false positives, provides you with full details of the attack, in a way that helps you mitigate any potential risk, including: Hacker's profile, Request profile, Step by step hacker’s behavior. It also disambiguates the executed code of your application and spots vulnerabilities in your code through which an attack can be made. A detailed report is instantly conducted including: Vulnerable file(s) and line number, full code stacktrace. Currently, shieldfy detects vulnerabilities in the development stage by both its SDK and static code analyzer.

Shieldfy started in 2016 in Alexandria, Egypt as the first cyber security startup in Egypt by Eslam Salem. The whole story behind it start from 2009 when Eslam was working as a CTO and his website got hacked and that was his entry to cyber security world, meanwhile he started creating tools to help developers secure their web applications. After 7 years of working on these tools, Eslam created Shieldfy. After that, Shieldfy software was pitched in lots of accelerators from TIEC to flat6labs. It was the phase of pre-product market fit when the team worked very hard to improve shieldfy.
In 2018, It was the luck year of shieldfy as it started by being accepted in cynolab with an invitation to visit London and work alongside masters of cyber-security but shieldfy couldn’t make it to London. Then, it was the first block at shieldfy investment journey by Arzan Venture Capital to receive it’s seed fund[2] and start including more members to the team. Besides, enriching the cyber security content in the MENA Region by both its security Wikipedia & security advisory.
In 2019, Shieldfy entered 500startups accelerator program which was a turning point at shieldfy’s road-map to define its market, developing products which fit that niche market and scale after that. [3]
