Theology of Anabaptism and Anabaptist could probably be combined. Conditional baptism and Emergency baptism could likely be merged into the main article. Catharism already has a consolamentum section, no reason the rest couldn't be merged there as well. Baptismal clothing and Christening gown could probably be merged. more later... Compadre and Godparent may be combinable. GRBerry 17:44, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Baptismal vows needs a lot of work. After that work is done, Adventist baptismal vow might be either merged in or a sub-article. I note that the word "vow" does not appear in Baptism, and didn't in a quick read of the article find any related terms, so after Baptismal vows reaches at least start class, it probably merits inclusion in Baptism somehow. Other concerns edit

There is currently a bit of an edit war going on on the Baptism page regarding Baptism by Jesus. You can check out the talk page for the debate itself. User:Leadwind insists that the Gospel of John cannot be trusted historically and thus refuses to let anyone say that Jesus didn't baptize, per John 4:1-2, "The Pharisees heard that Jesus was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John, although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples." I stumbled upon the debate by chance yesterday and joined in, supporting those who say that the biblical account issue of biblical theology, as opposed to just including the account of those who don't trust the Bible at all. Maybe someone else could come in to continue to uphold the NPOV standard of including all views, including the biblical one. Thanks Kristamaranatha (talk) 20:24, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
