Geography Workgroup

The Geography Workgroup is a working group of members of the Bangladesh WikiProject dedicated to ensuring quality and coverage of Bangladesh geography related articles.

Scope

Administrative units of Bangladesh as in divisions, districts, upazilas (for non-metropolitan areas) and thanas (for metropolitan areas) come within the scope of this workgroup, as well as the metropolitan and municipal areas. Rivers, islands, hills and forests also fall within the scope. So does the geology of Bangladesh.

Goals

The aim of this project is to standardize, improve and monitor articles related to Geography of Bangladesh, as well as to create missing articles, especially for Populated places and subdivisions.

Infobox

There is a number of infoboxes for use, including Template:Infobox city, Template:Infobox settlement, Template:Infobox Bangladesh district. It is highly advisable that these infoboxes are used on appropriate article pages.
