My personal entry keeps being declined. I am running for office and have multiple cited sources.

See WP:AUTOBIO for all the reasons why you shouldn't be writing about yourself, even if you were notable in Wikipedia terms. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:26, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure why this is being rejected. I have multiple sources. KnowItGirl67 (talk) 05:42, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@KnowItGirl67: you have cited precisely three sources, two of which (LinkedIn and Facebook) are totally unacceptable, and the third (candidates list) provides only a passing mention; none of these contributes towards notability in the slightest. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:24, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly is needed? Why was my page deleted? KnowItGirl67 (talk) 01:30, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@KnowItGirl67: what is needed is for you to cite sources which demonstrate that the subject is notable, namely: multiple secondary sources that are reliable and independent, and provide significant coverage of the subject. This means mainstream media outlets (newspapers, magazines, TV and radio programmes) with editorial oversight and reputation for fact-checking etc. Also, books published by reputable publishers, and some academic papers.
As for why the draft (not 'your' page, as you don't own it in any sense of the word) was deleted, this is because it was promotional, and didn't indicate that the subject was notable. HTH, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:11, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your so petty and childish. They need to raise their standards of people who volunteer. This is bordering on harassment and cyber bullying. KnowItGirl67 (talk) 01:07, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

edit

Hello can you please re review this page? I cannot make a new one and I am very troubled by the ract that the latest heir in the Obolensky lineage does not have a page. There were multiple sources. 60.60.188.211 (talk) 11:48, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's not enough to have "multiple sources", those sources must also clearly demonstrate that the subject is notable. In any case, this draft has been rejected and will not be considered further.-- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:52, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! could you please help me in why my draft got declined and what i could do to improve it in following the Wikipedia guidelines?

Ooaa23 (talk) 13:37, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ooaa23: the draft was rejected, not merely declined, meaning you cannot resubmit it, and it will not be considered further. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:47, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

May i know why it is rejected Cdubey34 (talk) 14:11, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Cdubey34: it was rejected, and subsequently deleted, because it was promotional with no indication of any notability. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:48, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed my article on Michael T. Pugh that was rejected and I'm not sure what to do next. I made the language as encyclopedic as I could, but still was told it read like an advertisement. Michael Pugh used to have a Wikipedia page, but the link to it seems to be dead. I wanted to recreate his page as I find him to be notable, but have gotten feedback twice that he may not be notable enough to warrant an updated Wikipedia page. Could someone review my draft and give me advice? I'm feeling a bit lost.

Thank you! CWADEC (talk) 16:59, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

CWADEC (talk) 16:59, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft was declined not rejected, I concur with the reviewers comment that it "reads like a resume / personal statement that you would see for someone running a campaign for elected office". Theroadislong (talk) 17:05, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just wondering about the See WP:COI. comment. I/we are former students at UW writing up a wiki page for Prof Moore. The article is unbiased/fair/objective . . . I was not his student. Thanks!

Msimstudent (talk) 17:48, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"I/we are former students" please note that Wikipedia accounts are strictly single person use. Theroadislong (talk) 18:23, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

19:10:07, 10 April 2023 review of draft by CnekYT

Hello! I made a submission of Cascade Shops, a semi-large shopping mall in Banff, Alberta. The submission was declined but I am unsure of the reasons for it's decline. There are multiple articles about the mall across the internet, with the mall even receiving large mentions on sites such as the Calgary Herald. Most sources I have on the article are secondary and independent of the subject, and there are a lot of reliable sources, that are more than just passing mentions of the mall.

For this reason, I see no reason for the Wikipedia article to be declined, it meets all the criteria. I would like an in depth reason of why the article was declined and how to otherwise fix the article.

CnekYT (talk) 19:10, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

CnekYT, I am sorry but run of the mill two sentence or three sentence descriptions of this mall do not amount to significant coverage. The way to fix the draft is to include new references that genuinely devote significant coverage to the mall instead of routine mentions. Cullen328 (talk) 08:21, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I added references and citations to Draft:Omoide Shashin, is this sufficient to demonstrate notability and verifiability?
