Request on 01:49:07, 23 December 2021 for assistance on AfC submission by Guandf edit

Have finished editing an article in Chinese in Sandbox but could not find button to publish into Chinese Wikipedia.

Guandf (talk) 01:49, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Guandf You will need to address any issues on the Chinese Wikipedia there; this Help Desk is for drafts on the English Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 08:51, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

08:44:22, 23 December 2021 review of draft by Kabootaremesi edit

Kabootaremesi (talk) 08:44, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kabootaremesi You don't ask a question, but your draft is pending review. As noted on your draft, this could take some time. 331dot (talk) 08:52, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
331dot Is there any way to make the process faster? Kabootaremesi (talk) 08:55, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kabootaremesi No, reviews are conducted in no particular order by volunteers, doing what they can when they can. It could occur in five minutes, or two months from now, there is no way to predict it or to accelerate the process. Do you have a particular need for a speedy review? Wikipedia itself has no deadlines. 331dot (talk) 08:59, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
331dot Yes. as reported, Beiraghi's movie is going to be on screen in next few weeks, so it would be much better to have an active english article in screening period and I am seeking a way for that. Kabootaremesi (talk) 09:04, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kabootaremesi Are you associated with the production of the film? 331dot (talk) 09:12, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
331dot No, I am a cinema lover and recently started editing related articles in Wikipedia. Why did you ask that? And does this impact speed of reviewing article? Kabootaremesi (talk) 09:16, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kabootaremesi I ask because this film is the only subject you have edited about, at least here on the English Wikipedia. I don't know if you are or not, but if you are associated with the production, it is better to be honest about it so you can be aware of policies like conflict of interest and paid editing. Submitting a draft is the correct way for someone associated with the production to contribute about it. No, it does not impact the speed of the review, but if you are not associated with it, okay.
It is difficult to time the creation of an article with outside events like the release of a film, because Wikipedia is not geared towards that, especially for newer users who cannot directly create articles. Our only concern is summarizing independent sources. As I said, there isn't much you can do to speed it up; everyone wants a speedy review and it's hard to tell one person why they should be able to "jump the line" and not others. You can only be patient. Perhaps someone will see this discussion and help you out, but there is no way to guarantee that. 331dot (talk) 09:25, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
331dot Many thanks for your complete explanation. Kabootaremesi (talk) 09:36, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kabootaremesi, which sources (not IMDB) discuss the subject himself? A quick review of sources show a good argument for notability of his first two films but need some help clearly establishing notability for the subject. Slywriter (talk) 16:52, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Slywriter I checked sources again and changed some, then I published the article Soheil Beiraghi. I think it has become better now, is reviewing again needed? Kabootaremesi (talk) 07:03, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

15:50:13, 23 December 2021 review of draft by NietzscheJones edit

Hi, I hope I'm doing this right. I have been told that there are not enough reliable, independent sources. I'm not sure which ones (other than the Studio Ramsdell website and the publications that are too old to have been put online) are not independent or reliable. I see there are mistakes that I need to correct on some (which I am about to start on), but there are more than 10 that lead to legitimate independent sources. That's more than some articles have: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauren_Silva and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoffrey_Chadsey. So I guess I'm not sure about what constitutes an independent source (even though I've read the guidelines). NietzscheJones (talk) 15:50, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@NietzscheJones I've left a comment intended to be helpful on the draft. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 16:31, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

17:22:13, 23 December 2021 review of submission by Daysfan4life edit

Daysfan4life (talk) 17:22, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reason as to why I'm asking assistance is because all I'm bringing up is that Paul Narita knew that Will Horton sees him as a stranger, Paul knew that Rolf & Susan robbed Will of his mind, so is Will in any position to say yes or no to sexual advances, so with him in no position to say yes or no, isn't that considered rape with him not being in any position to say yes or no to sexual advances 17:22, 23 December 2021 (UTC)17:22, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

Daysfan4life, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia which deals in reliable sources. Opinion pieces and discussion of character motives are better suited for the vast ocean of social media, personal blogs and fan sites that make up the internet.
In short, Wikipedia is not an forum or message board and your content is inappropriate for it. Slywriter (talk) 18:19, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

20:00:59, 23 December 2021 review of submission by Miketakla86 edit

Miketakla86 (talk) 20:00, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Miketakla86 You don't ask a question, but your draft was rejected, meaning that it will not be considered further. Your draft is not supported with significant coverage in independent reliable sources that reported on your world record. The mere listing is insufficient. Note that autobiographical articles are strongly discouraged, see the autobiography policy. 331dot (talk) 20:50, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
User has moved it to main space Michael_Takla, I have taken it to WP:AFD. Theroadislong (talk) 21:00, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
