June 15 edit

01:58:37, 15 June 2018 review of submission by Cjwing edit

I need help publishing my article. I'm very new to wikipedia. I would love some help on how I can get my article published and approved when submitted for review. Cjwing (talk) 01:58, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cjwing Welcome to AfD help desk. The article has a number of issues and please see below:
  1. Subject does not meet Wikipedia musician/DJ notability requirements - Please see WP:MUSICBIO
  2. Content claimed needs to be supported by independent, reliable source (such as from major newspaper and journals) - pls see WP:RS
  3. Content added needs to be written in a neutral point of view - pls see WP:NPOV
Please not no amount of editing and sourcing, if the subject is not notable, it will not accepted by Wikipedia. Let me know if anything else I would help. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 03:13, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to have more specific explanations of the reasons for rejecting the article I submitted.

Whom and how should I ask that? I presume I should ask the person who reviewed it, that is Shadowol. Do I use for this purpose his talk page?

Or should I ask my questions here?

Tahnk you,

Piero Caracciolo (talk) 07:52, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Piero Caracciolo Greetings to you and thank you for the question above. You could contact the reviewer or you could seek assistance here. Either options are appropriate. I have read the draft article briefly and have to say, it is rare to see a lengthy draft article written in such elegant prose. I can see you put a lot of work in it.
The reason that the draft copy is rejected because it did not written in neutral point of view but more of promoting the subject with subtle WP:PEACOCK prose. When an article is read like a advertisement, it means it is written by using puff up words/phrases to appeal to reader's emotions of the important and uniqueness of the subject. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, for such the content should be written in a rather dull and plain prose with attribution to facts where info is gathered from secondary sources. Btw, do rework on the lead / introduction section - pls see MOS:LEAD for more info. Do drop by if you have further questions. Thank you and happy editing.
