edit15:43:15, 19 May 2017 review of submission by Lwilcken
editI just made a slight change in a page, then realized I hadn't logged in. But the change was successful. I'm surprised that it went through without my logging in. Has there been a change in procedure? Lwilcken (talk) 15:43, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Lwilcken: Hello, Lwilcken. No, there hasn't been a change in procedure. IP addresses have always been able to edit existing articles. They just couldn't (and still can't) create new articles. But by not logging in, you have accidentally revealed your IP address. If this raises any concerns for you, you can request that the IP address be "suppressed" (which keeps the edit intact, but removes the attribution). You can request suppression by going to WP:RFO, the sooner the better. NewYorkActuary (talk) 16:19, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
