Hi there. I have a disclosed COI in regards to the Scott Neeson article, and have followed the COI guidelines to the best of my knowledge. This page was deleted prior to my involvement due to self promotion, and my aim is to reinstate a version of the article that complies with Wikipedia guidelines. I have made edits to remove all self promotional material and have stripped it back to its bare bones, but it has now been rejected twice for not meeting notability guidelines. The subject - Scott Neeson - was the former President of 20th Century Fox International, who gave up his career to start a charity (now one of the highest rated in the world by CharityNavigator) helping children in one of Cambodia's poorest communities. This journey has been covered in depth by numerous high profile secondary sources, including the Wall Street Journal, People Magazine, The Australian, Business Insider and Variety.org. I believe that this qualifies Scott Neeson as notable under Wikipedia's policies, however two reviewers have left comments to the contrary.

What is the best next step for me here? I would like to pad out the article but am aware that I may have difficulty writing from a neutral point of view, given my COI. Should I submit a request on the Scott Neeson talk page for a third party editor to add extra content from provided references?

Thank you for your help. CallumLow (talk) 05:16, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Callum. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. Others here might disagree, but I see no problem with you editing the draft. Because it is a draft, and not an article in Main space, any overly favorable edits will likely be caught by the next reviewer and might cause that reviewer to decline the submission. But if other reviewers here disagree with my assessment, I'll be happy to see their comments. NewYorkActuary (talk) 18:47, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage about the subject in reliable sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time.

Hello, CFB. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. I see no evidence that your draft was ever submitted for review. Was it submitted under a different name? NewYorkActuary (talk) 18:39, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
User:Cfb1989 - Read the conflict of interest guideline. Your account appears to be Century Financial Broker (founded in 1989). One account should belong to one person, and should not be the name of a business. Robert McClenon (talk) 04:22, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This page was submitted for review by mistake - it is still a draft. How can I remove the submission? Igorek7 (talk) 13:03, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Igorek. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. I'm a bit confused as to why you are concerned about a draft in another user's sandbox. But I note that the draft in question has not yet been re-submitted since being declined, so there's nothing to "remove". I hope this response has been helpful.
