SwisterTwister, How is it possible that it is too soon in his career, at 55 years old, and been working in his profession since 1982?
This recording engineer is extremely well known! he is cited all over the place.
I am sure that this person is far enough in his career. Could you please give me tips to improve the submission? Thank you so much.
- Hello, Musicschool. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. I see that SwisterTwister has already responded to your postings on their Talk page, but I'll be happy to address your question about improving the submission. The essential failing here is that you make no real claim of significance for the subject. The prose portion of your submission is composed of a mere two sentences. And even after taking into account the data in the table, your claim of significance is nothing more than the observation that the subject produced a few albums and did behind-the-board work on a lot more. But any audio technician who works in the recording industry is going to garner album credits and, if he or she works in the industry long enough, is going to garner a whole lot of those credits. There is nothing especially unique about this particular technician. What you really ought to do is take a look at the criteria set forth in WP:CREATIVE and decide which of them might describe the subject. And then, you need to find reliable sources that are independent of the subject and that discuss the subject in enough depth to support the particular WP:CREATIVE criterion that you believe applies to the subject. Without those in-depth independent sources, there is little chance that your submission will be accepted for publication on Wikipedia. I hope this response has been helpful. Am I allowed to take a picture of sculpters and prints that I have bought (my property) from an artist an upload them to Wikipedia Commons?Flashpepi (talk) 02:30, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hello, Flashpepi. The better place to ask that question will be Commons:Village pump/Copyright. If the images can not be hosted on Commons, then the place to ask will be WP:Media copyright questions. I hope this response has been helpful. NewYorkActuary (talk) 09:58, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

Beatos -Black Trakehner Stallion famous as the Lloyds Bank Black Horse
I am wondering how references can be added to the editorial? I have referenced a book in the blurb. As it was a while ago, sources may not be available, as staff changes and the information they give is not updated. Kmillward (talk) 13:43, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

- Hello, K. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. Your question has already been answered; the answer appears near the top of your Draft. On another note, I see that your username is essentially the same as the name of the person who is discussed in the draft itself and who is the author of the draft's sole reference. If you are that person, or are someone closely connected to that person, then our conflict of interest guidelines will apply to you. NewYorkActuary (talk) 10:21, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

I am just trying to understand how I hit the notability threshold. I'm new to this and began creating this page as part of a wiki editathon. It's not perfect, but to my mind it looks as reputable as say this page. Or is that I submitted it from my sandbox rather than as a draft? Any help, much appreciated.

NOTE: Readded this from history because the issue is not resolved yet. See my latest response. Thanks!
Dear Helpdesk,
I created a Wiki article for Goji Food Solutions a while ago. It was declined twice. The first time because of bad references, the second time because of "blatant advertising". I tried to ask the reviewer about support on how to improve the article so that it is not seen as advertising, which was not my intention at all.
Until now, I did not get any response from the reviewer (more than 30 days ago now). Can anyone here assist me in the article creation?
Thanks in advance and happy holidays! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Visrajmathan 0614 (talk • contribs) 10:11, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
- User:Visrajmathan - First, I will comment that you wrote "Goji provides solutions for oven manufacturers seeking to incorporate solid-state RF cooking technology in their products. " Read the solutions essay. Many reviewers (including me) think that anything that talks about "solutions" (other than mixtures) is pure marketing. Second, the draft talks about radio-frequency heating and cooking (the industry) and, to a lesser degree, what the company does, but not what others have said about the company (corporate notability). Third, your only edits have been about this draft. What is your association with Goji? Robert McClenon (talk) 15:52, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
- Robert McClenon Robert, thank you for the detailed response which is helpful. With respect to “solutions” I understand the issue and to avoid it I deleted the entire “Products” section. I note that the full company’s name is Goji Food Solutions and therefore I didn’t change the word “Solutions” in the company’s name. In terms of corporate notability Goji was covered by Times of Israel (which has readership of over 2 million as of 2014 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Times_of_Israel), AMPERE journal (which is well recognized in the microwave industry) and some food or food processing blogs / online news pages. They also raised $25M from New Enterprise Associates (NEA) which are one of the biggest venture capital firms in the world. This is indeed my first article. I have come across the company while researching innovations in the German home appliance market (I am based in Germany). I did add information about the industry itself since there isn’t much about domestic RF cooking with solid-state technology on Wikipedia however perhaps it’s better to create a separate article for this topic as it is expected to be a real revolution and of course not exclusive for Goji. - Hello, Visrajmathan. I've copied the above over to the Talk page of your draft, which will be a better place to hold an extended discussion. I'll try to add some comments there later today. NewYorkActuary (talk) 10:30, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
