Request on 15:54:09, 5 March 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Dlassatcend

This is my second attempt at submitting a listing for Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa. After the first attempt was denied, I re-wrote the article and included many more references and citing's and it was still denied. I am unsure as to what I am doing wrong or what I need to do to get this approved.

Dlassatcend (talk) 15:54, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dlassatcend - you can ask the specific reviewer on their page. But looking at the last decline, SoCalSuperEagle was pretty specific. References need to talk about the article's subject in-depth, they cannot merely mention the subject. And they can't be related to the subject, either (e.g. from the hotel's site, a press release, etc.) Many of your references aren't references at all. For example, The Conde, Knot, TravelAdvisor, Tall Ships links don't mention the subject at all. I hope this helps. Onel5969 (talk) 17:57, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is my first time creating a wiki page. I didn't know how to create sections like Funding, Features etc. so I just used the bold option. Also, the only source that I used was the website. Is that ok?

Thank you! PIXO, Inc. Content Gaming (talk) 17:44, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

To editor PIXO, Inc. Content Gaming: You can read the cheatsheet for basic formatting. To answer your second question: No, the website cannot be the only source. We need independent sources to establish what is known as notability. Anon124 (+2) (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 17:48, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 19:01:26, 5 March 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Ascensusinc

Hello,

I am very new to the Wikipedia world and trying to contribute an article on behalf of my company, Ascensus, Inc. We are not seeking to use the article as any form of advertisement, but rather are hoping that it merely describes our company background, lines of business, the services we provide, and our culture.

A majority of this information is found on Ascensus related sites and is not directly referenced in external news sources. Therefore, I am having trouble with my citations and am trying to learn how I might include this information in an approved article. Any suggestions?

I would also appreciate an experienced editor's assistance in rewriting the article in a neutral, purely informative tone. I feel that I am too close to the content in order to do so completely effectively.

I'd appreciate any help I can get! Thank you in advance.

Wikipedia is not a directory of businesses, so unfortunately, if external sources have not discussed the company in detail, then perhaps it is simply not notable enough for Wikipedia to need an article about it. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 07:42, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I drafted this page about Schwartz Center Rounds and applied for its approval. But the page was deleted because it 'included copyrighted information'. Is there a way to get the page back, find out which were the problematic sections and edit them so the page will be approved? Thanks....
