August 16 edit

Request on 01:51:28, 16 August 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Ediebeattie edit

I really want my article to be passed how do I improve it?

Ediebeattie (talk) 01:51, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ediebeattie, you need to actually read and follow the advice given by two reviewers - including all the guideline and advice pages linked in the reviews. Your draft currently has no references at all. Without references from independent reliable sources the draft will never be acceptable. You need to look for articles in mainstream music magazines or reputable newspapers or music websites, not blogs, Facebook, forums, Itunes, Youtube or any other user-created sources. See the notability standard for music-related articles for what is required. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 13:46, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The subject of the article is considered non-notable at this point. FoCuS contribs; talk to me! 18:33, 18 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sgtigerman (talk) 09:19, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In this link to the movie Moondraam Ulaga Por http://www.mediatimez.com/videos/moondraam-ulaga-por-action-teaser-02-05-2015/, my name was mentioned. Doesn't it considered as a source other than from IMDB or Facebook?

Please advice on how to NOT to be removed by Wikipedia?

Hi Sgtigerman, I could not find any indication in your contributions log that you have ever worked on any article draft so please tell us what submission this is about. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 13:50, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 10:54:29, 16 August 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Safecharge1 edit

We keep submitting an article and either the references are not good enough or the text reflects an advertising tone. I have hired the services of professional writers to assist with this wikipedia entry and still it has been rejected - please can someone help me get the text approved so that I can get this page posted. Thanks

Safecharge1 (talk) 10:54, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you paid someone money to write that, they were not professional and you should demand your money back. Maproom (talk) 17:25, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Safecharge1 I agree with Maproom, you should fire the "professional" writers and not pay a cent for that WP:Vanispamcruftisment, it's junk. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 13:55, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

16:19:52, 16 August 2015 review of submission by Kanoog edit

Thank you for your help as this is my first article.

I am currently wondering if anything can be done for notability of this article. So far there are 8 sources 4 being primary and 4 secondary and extra sources would just be more of the same or in another language like these: http://www.martialplanet.com/Web-Portal/Asia-Oceania/Korea/martial_art_Korea_Hoi-Jeon-Moo-Sool.htm

http://www.alwasatnews.com/4103/news/read/833826/1.html

I practice this martial art and I personally know over a hundred people that do so in my gym alone, which makes it notable enough in my opinion but I don't know where to go from there

Thank you

Kanoog (talk) 16:19, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately your personal experience has no bearing over what Wikipedia considers notable. In order to establish this martial art's notability, you need to provide coverage from independent and reliable sources, such as books, magazine articles, etc. In short, if there is evidence the specific practise is indeed generally known and has significant coverage, there shouldn't be a problem in creating an article about it. 19:11:58, 16 August 2015 review of submission by Future Housing edit

Hi, I would like to submit a Word Doc with charts for review. Could you advise how I do this please.

Many thanks,

Nigel Turner Future Housing (talk) 19:11, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Future Housing, if you have created these charts it constitutes original research and is therefore not permitted on Wikipedia. You should find the information that is already available and reference it. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 21:41, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
