Request on 08:15:06, 14 October 2014 for assistance on AfC submission by KarenLAdams edit

Just wondered if you could point out a few specifics as to why this article keeps getting rejected? I've reviewed other company pages and the language, tone and content is very similar. I've also updated the sources used to more external links as requested. Can you help?

When looking at existing articles to use as examples, do not just look at any article. Instead, look at a recognised Wikipedia Good Article about a company or brand. You can find these in the list at Wikipedia:Good articles/Social sciences and society#Businesses & organizations.
In addition to the promotional tone that has already been highlighted by a comment on your draft, I am not certain that the references you have supplied thus far suffice to prove the notability of the subject by Wikipedia's standards. Several of the references provided are to the company's own website, to a YouTube link, to a recycled press release that has no independent critical commentary, and to an announcement from a company associated with the subject (therefore not independent). None of these are useful for satisfying Wikipedia:VRS or Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Arthur goes shopping (talk) 08:39, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have a message in my sandbox saying: This sandbox is in the Draft namespace. Either move this page into your userspace, or remove the {{User sandbox}} template. but cannot move - is this normal/okay to leave? Peter-ed-tech Peter-ed-tech (talk) 08:16, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Peter. Yes it's fine to ignore that warning message. I do sometimes wonder if it serves any useful purpose at all. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 08:28, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks - Peter-ed-tech (talk) 21:01, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have added specific categories to Guy André Boy's wikipage; can we remove the lalbe that the article needs specific categories? Also, the article is starting to be linked, how many links it requires until its not graded as orphan? thank you

Odoule (talk) 14:04, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Any user may remove any banner for the right reasons at any time.
WIth regard to orphans, my view is that a couple of inbound links are ideal, others suggest a single one. Fiddle Faddle 14:23, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK sounds good - I checked the categories: B B And Dr. Boy is not listed there - do I need to use specific syntax for these categories? Thanks a lot

If the categories are listed at the foot of the article you may be confident that the servers are working to include the article in the listing of the category you inspect, despite it, sometimes, not yet showing up. There is a lag caused by the software prioritising the various tasks it must undertake. My toolbar, at the head of the page, has a 'purge' function as a drop down of the "More" tab. I believe I had to turn this on somehow. I forget how or whether! Use of that purge function will bring a Category up to date when used within the category page. Alright. One more question - > could you advice, whether I can use these publications as external references? I read the guidelines that the link should not be directly to website that is selling material but these are official publications; How could I list them or should i avoid listing them? Or just provide APA style reference without hyperlink? please check: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleListURL&_method=list&_ArticleListID=-652906806&_sort=r&_st=13&view=c&md5=20e450e988de18bed9618dbd8efe0cf5&searchtype=a Thanks a lot — Preceding unsigned comment added by Odoule (talkcontribs) 03:14, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why the heck aren't you letting me submit this page I worked incredibly hard to make this piece about my best friend Tander. He is a legitament person in history and secretly created the Lurner bot in the future. He is a very incredible person and is my best friend, and i take full offense that you boneheads won't accept my page into the Wikipedia family. So please give me a spot for Tander Lurner in Wikipedia. THEGODLYGOD (talk) 18:33, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia has a strict policy on who can have a Wikipedia page and who can't. Your best friend needs to be notable, i.e. he has done something significant. You can't just decide to make a Wikipedia page about something, since this is considered to be disruptive. Creating an article for a non-notable person can make the article eligible for a speedy deletion. st170etalk 19:47, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

18:45:33, 14 October 2014 review of draft by 23.116.204.129 edit

When I click save page to submit my article for review I get the following error message

Draft article not currently submitted for review. This is a draft Articles for creation submission. It is not currently pending review. There are no deadlines as long as you are actively improving the submission. Drafts not being improved will be deleted as provided in the CSD G13 guideline.

To edit the draft click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window. Note: the submission-received box appears at the bottom of the page at first. If it's there, your draft has been submitted correctly, even if this message is still shown. 23.116.204.129 (talk) 18:45, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What might I be doing incorrectly?

An automated bot removes the message after you have submitted your article for review. If you click 'Submit your draft when you are ready to be reviewed' and then save the page, it should work. st170etalk 19:45, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

19:54:34, 14 October 2014 review of submission by Javise1 edit

Javise1 (talk) 19:54, 14 October 2014 (UTC) Hey, my name is Javis Evans and I created a wiki page formyself that was declined. I have provided valid information but the and proof of the sources & link info. Any help?[reply]

In order to have a Wikipedia page, you must be a significant figure or have done something significant. Your draft at Draft:Javis Evans doesn't contain anything significant so it was rejected by a fellow reviewer. You need significant references to prove notability, which must be independent, secondary and reliable. Check out WP:PEOPLE for more details on the notability of people policy. st170etalk 20:03, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. The information I provided are sources of notability. I am an independent artist so I used information from notable people such as DJ's, artist, media source, magazine editors and etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Javise1 (talkcontribs) 20:53, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Javise1: I think you misunderstand. Name-dropping doesn't make notability here on Wikipedia. We require reliable sources like newspaper articles to make a claim of notability. Please read that criteria as it's very specific. Furthermore, Wikipedia discourages autobiographies because you can't be an objective editor when you're the subject. I'd recommend you let the Wikipedia community write an article about you once you become well-enough known. Chris Troutman (talk) 02:54, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
