May I Ask. How can I be. Able to. Avoid. Rejection. From Wikipedia

121.6.207.137, which draft are you talking about? Please provide us a link to the page that was Declined so we can offer you advice, as apparently you made it from an IP different from the one you're posting now, so we have no way to tell which page among millions you're asking us about. 08:12:21, 29 November 2014 review of submission by Enkelisiipi edit

Hello. I recently submitted an article, Draft:Ami Yamato, in Articles for Creation. It was rejected by St170e because of lack of notability “as a person”. I believe this reasoning is incorrect because the subject is a “pretend person” of such sophistication that, to my knowledge, is the only such example in the world today.

Although the subject has not been referenced in the major periodicals of the day, I believe the subject and its related use of social media technology is of sufficient uniqueness that it should be accepted.

The last figure of this type was Max Headroom. That “pretend person” required an entire production team and a room full of cameras and computers to produce for television. Because of advances in technology and software the creator of Ami Yamato appears to be simply an unknown person operating on their own.

While the pretend person, Ami Yamato, has not been recognized in mainstream media, “she” has garnered tens of thousands of followers around the world and over a million views. A multi-cultural figure of such popularity, though minor in stature, deserves Wikipedia mention due to 1) the multi-cultural nature of Wikipedia and 2) the unique application of the technology.

Full disclosure: I am a retired American military pilot with no personal knowledge of this so-called person. I discovered the subject on YouTube and became interested due to the unique application of its advanced technology. I thought this would be an interesting topic for my first Wikipedia article.

This "pretend person" is treated no differently from any fictional character that appears in TV or movies, and the subject of the article must still meet the criteria of WP:GNG (or, in this case, since this is a series of web videos, WP:WEB). Wikipedia articles must be about notable subjects, not multi-cultural or unique subjects. --Ahecht (TALK

Re: Jon Davison (professor)

I uploaded a photo to Commons that I own the copyright of - Professor Jon Davison. I wanted to add it to the Jon Davison (Professor) Wikipedia page, but I got a message to say I could not do so. Is it possible for that photo to be added to the page please?

Thanks. Pappyd (talk) 15:18, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Pappyd: Follow the instructions you were given at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Confirmed#User:Pappyd and upload this image to Wikipedia Commons. Once it is uploaded there, you can add it to your draft. --Ahecht (TALK

18:08:26, 29 November 2014 review of submission by 75.114.31.9 edit

Just wondering where the Brad Elkins article is in the queue. It's been a few weeks since resubmittal, and I did not see anything controversial or promotional in there. 75.114.31.9 (talk) 18:08, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's why it's still there, if it was an obviously bad article it would have been failed by now. It's in the very last category by age, so nearly at the end of the queue. Rankersbo (talk) 13:15, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
