March 11

edit

Could you finally tell me why my submission was rejected ? I will be happy to make the changes needed (but frankly, I do not understand why it is so difficult to find this page).

I am having some difficulty finding the submission. What user account did you use when you submitted it? DGG ( talk ) 03:58, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Richey International

edit

Hi and thanks for your help. I've submitted an article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Richey International, Ltd., and it has come back a couple times, once for being overly promotional and the need for more verifiable third-party citations. I agree it was not objective enough, and have changed it now - I wrote the entry about this company while writing a book on hotel history and was very surprised at the depth and breadth of its impact on luxury hotels for about thirty years or so. Not sure I understand the need for even more outside references - there are several listed, spanning over twenty years, and includes two books, one of which is by a college professor. Having read the notoriety and verifiability standards, I though the article worked, but it's my first one. Apologies for the inconvenience. IntentionalExcellence (talk) 01:42, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It would help judge it if you could provide a short one-sentence key quote from each of the books, which I assume you have at hand. It's not required, but it does help. DGG ( talk ) 03:51, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have created one article. But it has been rejected. I have redone the referencing but some of the section that are visible on editing are not visible on reading. Can you help me? wikipedia talk:Articles for cration/Heera Singh Rana — Preceding unsigned comment added by Girdhar.joshi (talkcontribs) 06:15, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have fixed that for you with this edit. The problem was that you had used \ instead of / and therefore a reference was not being closed, thus hiding some of the content. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 09:49, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi There,

My article:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Gustav_Alexander

Was rejected. Why? I have put in a reference to the source.

The reason I am creating this entry is because the Gustav Alexander in this page:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lacrosse_at_the_1908_Summer_Olympics

Is not the one in the link. The real one is this one:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Gustav_Alexander

Source: [1]

I know this because the real Gustav is my Great Grandfather.

Is this enough to get the article published? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PaulAGH (talkcontribs) 13:50, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jeff Schneider On Feb. 28th an earlier version of an article for creation was reviewed see User:Jeff Schneider/sandbox  ? My concern is that I noticed a sub-note on this updated version submitted for review that a Jeff Schneider article exists and Please verify that it is not a copy of this submission and that this page does not need to be moved to a different title. I know there is a backlog for reviews I'm just not sure if the article to be reviewed is the correct article. Thank You.(Jeff Schneider 14:23, 11 March 2014 (UTC)) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jwsstudios (talkcontribs)

Hi Jeff. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jeff Schneider is currently submitted for review and User:Jeff Schneider/sandbox is not.
Jeff Schneider is an article about an unrelated baseball player, so if your article submission is accepted then the reviewer will move the new article to an appropriate page name.
You should also read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 14:35, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've created page in my sandbox that has been waiting for review for two weeks. As far as I can tell it meets all the notability requirements, is balanced and has no major flaws that would stop it from being accepted. Is there any way I can speed up this review process? Article is Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Chief Culture Officer . Thanks Smoothintellect (talk) 15:26, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like you still only have two independent sources that discuss the book, which for many reviewers may not be enough. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 15:41, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I was trying to make an article on Canadian Actress and Singer Kira Tozer and it got rejected twice. I worked very hard on this and added one reference from the About Me page on her it's very hard to find a source about her and I need all the help. Is About Me a reliable source? If not, I understand. Here's the link to the draft. [2] - FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 18:14, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello FilmandTVFan28- Welcome to the Articles for Creation Help desk. I visit your draft and found that notability of the subject has not been established. Subject requires significant coverage in wp:secondary, wp:independent and wp:reliable sources. See, Wikipedia reliable source guideline and Wikipedia reliable source examples. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 23:14, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That's just the problem. Finding reliable sources about Kira is like finding a needle in a haystack. So far, the only improvements I just made on the draft are adding an IMDB link and a link to her Twitter account. - FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 04:26, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again FilmandTVFan28- Unfortunately none of them help to establish notability of the subject. IMDb is not considered a reliable source and Twitter is a self-published primary source. See, Wikipedia reliable source guideline and Wikipedia reliable source examples. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 11:21, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Morris S. Levy Was wondering why the article I submitted "Morris S. Levy" was rejected and what needs to be addressed in order to have it approved. Your immediate attention on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!! Megafilms422 (talk) 18:58, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Megafilms422- Welcome to the Articles for Creation Help desk. Sources used in the submission doesn't help to establish notability of subject. Please find wp:secondary, wp:independent and wp:reliable sources that discuss the subject in detail and cite them in the body of the article. That's it. Hi,

I was wondering if you could tell me specifically what specifically reads like an advertisement in this submitted article? I would like to edit and resubmit, but I am unclear as to what in the article seems like soliciting. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Dancing Earth Thank you, Tiger3Lily (talk) 20:14, 11 March 2014 (UTC)JulieTiger3Lily (talk) 20:14, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tiger3Lily- Welcome to the Articles for Creation Help desk. Please make changes in accordance of Wikipedia neutral point of view and "Re-submit". Anupmehra -Let's talk! 23:33, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have been sent an email telling me that my submission has been revised on March 11 by Hasteur. I approve the revision - what do I do now? Do I wait; do I resubmit? - it's not clear what my next step should be. Jeremy Parker Jeremydgparker (talk) 22:59, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
