edit

The two points mentioned for articles rejection are:

1. Two many references to YouTube 2. The article was rejected previously

The references to YouTube can be reduced. In fact it refers to the works by World Development Foundation. Many more references have been provided. The article was rejected earlier for too less references.

Pl advice and help. Rupalisharma (talk) 09:56, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia content should be based on reliable sources that are independent of the subject, such as articles about the NGO published in newspapers or reputable magazines. YouTube is not a reliable source in the first place, and we should not cite works by the World Development Foundation, but works about it. Many other sources are primary sources as well, such as the WDF's own website. Those are not the third-party sources we need to establish that the organization is notable. Hi Huon,

Thanks very much for the help. I understand the problem. I am trying to edit it and make the necessary amendments in the references. However, referenced to UTubes were additional references and I had thought that this could show the works of World Development Foundation. Thanks a lot for help and guidance.

Hi,

After reading the article I have just written, I believe the name should be amended to Granville Walton (engineer), rather than the current Frederick Walton (Engineer). Can you please amend my draft article submission to reflect this change.

Many thanks

I'm not sure that's the best way forward. Of the four online sources I could easily check, one calls him F.T.G., one calls him Frederick Thomas Granville, another gives his full name and says he was nicknamed Granville, and the fourth gives his full name and once just calls him Frederick. I'd say we should go with the full Frederick Thomas Granville. Huon (talk) 19:10, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Huon,

That sounds good, please amend my article title to Frederick Thomas Granville Walton.

Hello! I have not heard anything about my recent edits to this page. Is there something I am missing? Thanks! Leenack (talk) 23:29, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please be patient. Your submission is 8 days old and the backlog is 12-13 days old. There are over 150 submissions older than yours awaiting review (the "age" is based on the most recent submission, not the original one). davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 00:12, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
