Have been waiting for months!!! Please help me get my article accepted.

edit

Hi - I have no idea what the problem is with my references, but my submission keeps getting declined. There is ~ a one month turnaround between submission/decline, and without enough information about what needs to be done, this process is getting completely obnoxious. Can someone please give me specific information about what is wrong with my references and what additional information is required? For the record, there are plenty of wiki pages out there with fewer references...I really feel like I'm being bullied about this.

Thanks so much for your help.

Your references are, in order, the in-house journal of Schweiger's employer, a report which lists Schweiger as a participant, and an eCornell website that mentions Schweiger exactly thrice: "explains Eran Schweiger, Chief of DFS’s Quality Assurance Unit", "notes Schweiger", "adds Schweiger." The first two are primary sources written by organizations Schweiger is affiliated with, and the third isn't about Schweiger but merely treats him as a spokesperson; it's not the significant coverage we need to establish his notability. For that we'd need reliable, independent sources that cover him in some detail, such as news coverage that devotes at least a paragraph to him - and not just one such source. I must say, I feel absolutely the same way. There are hundreds of articles with far less information, references and citations than the one I recently presented, yet I keep getting declined also. I don't feel like I am being bullied, because that would mean they are targeting me especially for some reason, but I do feel like there are those who are very much making judgements solely on personal opinion and it is not fair in the slightest. I've replied to you in greater detail above, but judgements are based on Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, here the notability guidelines WP:N and WP:BIO. Huon (talk) 12:20, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Before this edit, your draft's sources were insufficient to establish Sabine's notability. For that we require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, such as news coverage or maybe reviews in music magazines. Most of your sources were primary sources such as Sabine's personal website, or unreliable sources such as the fansite or a forum, sources that don't have any editorial oversight. Yala.fm might be reliable and independent, but "significant coverage" means more than just a single good source, and it doesn't suffice to verify the draft's content. For example, it doesn't mention Sabine's UNESCO Palace performance.
After that edit, the draft is effectively a copy of our article on Haifa Wehbe and would need to be rewritten entirely to cover Sabine. Huon (talk) 12:20, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A recent creation that is struggling and is not at the standard to sit in the main namespace, so I have moved to articles for creation. Overly long, non-authoritative sources, grammar insufficient. — billinghurst sDrewth 12:31, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This "recent creation" has a history going back to 2006. The move effectively amounts to an IAR speedy deletion: It's gone from the mainspace, and I doubt anyone will bother to clean it up here at AfC, ever. Huon (talk) 14:44, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh. Restored. Will do the RfD route. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:13, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Lifecasting PH

edit

Hello, I was wondering why my article was declined? Please help, I need pointers. Thank you. :)

lifecastingph 13:08, 24 December 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aeiarobin (talkcontribs)

Your sources are, in order, a book that predates the company by seven years and thus cannot mention it, a Wikipedia article that's not a reliable source (Wikipedia citing itself would be circular), and a news report that doesn't mention Lifecasting PH. The external links are two [[WP:PRIMARY|primary sources written by the company itself and a government website that once again doesn't mention Livecasting PH. These references do not show that Lifecasting PH has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject as required by our notability guidelines; see also WP:CORP. We're looking for news coverage or maybe articles in trade or art magazines, publications that have been subject to editorial oversight and cover the company in some detail. Can you please provide a link or the exact name of the draft? I couldn't find it among your contributions; you probably had another IP address when you wrote it. Huon (talk) 02:14, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

responding to editor

edit

I made some changes to a few Wikipedia pages which were reverted by an editor (Kwami). I want to respond to this editor but can't figure out how to do it.

Kolinuts68 (talk) 15:32, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You left Kwami a message at his talk page, and he replied already. So it seems this is resolved. Huon (talk) 02:14, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please write a article regarding Motor Club of America (MCA)/ TVC Marketing — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.49.95.92 (talk) 16:43, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want others to write an article, please list it under WP:Requested articles and its sub-pages, in this case probably Wikipedia:Requested articles/Business and economics/Companies. Please provide a reliable source that is independent of the subject on which an article can be based - not just a press release. I found nothing of the kind, but lots of strange marketing and claims that it's a scam and/or a Ponzi scheme, and I doubt the MCA is notable enough for a Wikipedia article.
