Would like to update the Northern Arizona football team template. The university was called Arizona State Teachers College from 1925-1928, Arizona State Teachers College at Flagstaff from 1929-1944, Arizona State College at Flagstaff from 1945-1957, Arizona State College from 1958-1965, becoming Northern Arizona in 1966. Templates for sports years normally have the correct name as of the year in question so there should be a change here. Ocfootballknut (talk) 05:59, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Lew King -- Remarkably, there is no article for this Arizona cultural icon of the late '40 through early '60s and 'Hall of Fame' inductee. (Bio:[1]). --Is this the place for article request? --2606:A000:4C0C:E200:A073:98E5:BA6B:E905 (talk) 18:12, 13 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Arizonan Jaguar (P. onca arizonensis) is considered to be the only species of jaguar within the United States. Should a separate page be created for it, or should a separate section be added to the already-existing Jaguar page? [[[User:Obsesseduscfan|Obsesseduscfan]] 11:21, 28 May, 2011 (UTC)
History of Phoenix/Founding section says that Jack Swilling was a veteran of the American Civil War -- which was from 1861-1865. How could he have been a veteran of the Civil War when he came to Arizona in 1850's and was the Postmaster of Pumpkinville during the Civil War?
One more request is for the Cliff-rose , for it needs to be cleaned up and we need an expert on the subject. It is a plant of Arizona. If it appears red then go to Lynx lake, and look up Cliff Rose from there on please.Hey Joe what you know? (talk) 03:22, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Casa Grande is a listed as a start page. If anyone knows any information on Casa Grande please help me expand this article. Thank youHey Joe what you know? (talk) 23:18, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Prescott, Arizona is listed as a start page. Could someone explain what it needs to get to the next level? Or provide me a link that explains it? I have been involved in this page for several years.
Sedona, Arizona is one of the hottest tourist locations, second only to the Grand Canyon. I want more info included about my hometown, and its Majestic qualitys.
Anything specific that needs elaborating? I could research things a bit more if I had examples of what should be included. I read the article and it seems fairly thorough. Emphasising a town's "Magestic qualities" will make an article cross from encyclopedic to a Chamber of Commerce brochure. CascadiaTALK|HISTORY 22:02, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sedona has developed an odd formatting problem, whose cause isn't obvious to me. Scroll down to "Education", and you'll see that the "Edit" buttons for that section, and the two above, are lumped together there. I queried Wikipedia:Village pump (assistance) and got this advice:
It is caused by the six images listed very close to each other (in the edit view) in the 'demographics section'. Spreading those out over the text should solve the problem. ssepp(talk) 21:30, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone want to take this on? I'm not comfortable fussing with images. Thanks, Pete Tillman 05:27, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I had a hack at it. There is simply no way to fit as many images in an article with small sections; I had to remove two pictures. I recommend that more text be added to the geography section—or to any other section, really—to be able to readd the pictures. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 06:26, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just noticed that two historic hotels in Flagstaff did not have articles, so I created stubs for them. Please check out the Weatherford Hotel and Hotel Monte Vista articles and add to them in any way that you can. Dr. Cash 18:43, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the first one is a Registered Historic Place, and I added NRHP information to the article. The other, I can't find in NHRP system, does it go by any other name? Perhaps you could create/add to an article on the historic district that you say it is located within. The historic district itself would also be listed on List of Registered Historic Places in Arizona. doncram 02:17, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hopi needs serious attention, preferably from an expert -- ideally a Hopi. The existing article is confusing and almost certainly has some bad and/or misleading info. I did a bit, but I'm no expert <G>. TIA, Pete Tillman (talk) 21:25, 17 January 2008 (UTC), Rimrock, AZ[reply]
While making additions to the Homolovi Ruins State Park and Oracle State Park articles (and see the various talk pages while you're at it to discuss my additions), I noticed that the governing board of these state parks, Arizona State Parks, doesn't have an article. Unless anyone has any dissent (I'll give you guys a day or two), I'll create a stub, then list it as "to expand" on the to-do list. Then maybe I'll actually expand it :-) Tanthalas39 (talk) 02:28, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Update: In process of creating stub for the Arizona State Parks board in my sandbox. References are hard to come by, I need to go down to the State Archives and see what I can get; I had a conversation with someone at the board and they referred me there. Pls assess Josh Whitesell, just brought up to the Arizona Diamondbacks, for quality and importance.--Epeefleche (talk) 09:32, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I would love to see Wickenberg Municipal Airport on there
I've just added a new section here on Land ownership and management, using Yavapai County as a "guinea pig", for information I think should be added to all Arizona counties (and most other counties in the western US, where public land ownership is important). Have a look and let me know what you think. Thanks, Pete Tillman (talk) 23:51, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After being tagged with the story template for more than 3 years, I've almost completed an edit of Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. It suffered from a lot of overwritten prose, elements of fringe theory, was almost completely without inline citations, contained a lot of information that could be construed as original research, and other problems. The article has an ongoing issue with bias, because there are some who believe the Earps did not deserve the recognition they got and were nothing but vigilantes. They advocate for the Cowboy point of view. I'm not on any side but defer to what referenced information I can find. In any case, I'd appreciate an objective look at the article as it stands and recommendations for further improvement. -- btphelps(talk) (contribs) 01:36, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone either change or walk me through changing the above article? The battle was fought on April 30, 1860 and not August. Also, the regiment was the Third U.S. Infantry, not the First U.S. Infantry. Finally, can the tense of this sentence be corrected: "The Navajo achieved a surprise attack but was ultimately repulsed by 150 American defenders..." from was to were? Factual sources are from Returns from U.S. Military Posts, 1806-1916; Fort Defiance, AZ, April 1860.
Can someone assist with this article. I know nothing about the subject or subject area and just came across it on random browsing. The article has been subjected by many years to what seems like uninterrupted editing by the article subject and as a result, well mess is far too polite. It's a personal soapbox/blog/fluffery piece of the highest order and has to be one of the worst articles on Wikipedia I've ever come across in all my years. I've deleted about half of it, but I'm wondering what more needs to go. Everytime I look at it it's so depressing. Any assistance greatly received. Canterbury Tailtalk 12:27, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia readers would be grateful if your project would consider creating a new article about Housing in Arizona. Here are some sources of information:
Can folks familiar with Mesa and the East Valley take a look at this new article I created, and make any changes, corrections and edits as they see fit?Msr69er (talk) 19:40, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
