Currently the main requirement is help with maintaining the WP1.0 bot, and also help with preparing version 0.9. If you can help, please contact User talk:Walkerma. To see what's happening with Wikipedia 1.0, you may want to review our recent Hackathon on August 13-18, 2017.

Assessments edit

See the assessment scheme and WikiProject list.

Help with the bot edit

Sometimes the bot misbehaves, or needs upgrades to the code. If you're able to write code, and you're familiar with using the bot, please volunteer.

Help with the assessment scheme edit

Sometimes we discuss or make changes to how the scheme is administered, or to the criteria. Since this scheme is used so widely, it can be very demanding for the short time when the discussion/change is happening. If you may be able to help during these critical periods, please sign up - though it is understood that your "real life" commitments may get in the way.

Index edit

We need help in designing an index by topic, and an index by location; we also need someone to rewrite the code to generate it (present code is buggy). Interested?

Reviewing manual submissions edit

Some articles get overlooked by the bot - they are needed to complete a set, they weren't tagged properly, or got moved during article selection, etc. We need people who can help judge whether an article is important/good enough to be included. I can train you in the tools and methods we use to do this. Broad/worldwide general knowledge is helpful here.
