A completely pointless template, used only to transclude a URL at Crossfire KM. I feel like this should be speedy deleted, but I'm not sure it meets CSD G2. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 22:51, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The ITF website recently changed all of its tournament links without redirecting the old to the new, so these templates based on the old link format are now obsolete. I've already gone through and replaced/removed all of their transclusions. Calbow (talk) 11:30, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Question: Couldn't the templates be updated to use the new link style? --Gonnym (talk) 09:46, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not really. Here's an example of the change:
http://www.itftennis.com/procircuit/tournaments/men's-tournament/info.aspx?tournamentid=1100034114 (broken)
https://www.itftennis.com/en/tournament/australian-open/aus/2015/m-sl-aus-01a-2015/draws-and-results/
As can be seen, the old format needed only 1 parameter (id), whereas the new format needs 4 (name, country, year, edition). Any efficiency/ease gain from having a template has been lost as it's simpler to just use the links directly. Also, it should be noted that these templates were used on only a few hundred out of the many thousands of tennis tournament articles, so they were never really adopted by the community.
