The result of the discussion was keep and mark as historical Primefac (talk) 01:32, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:TFD#REASONS#3. I see no benefit in keeping this template for historical reasons, it still was linked in {{Portal templates navbox}} confusing the editors. Guilherme Burn (talk) 17:50, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Trialpears: I tagged it as historical because it used to be a widely used portal creation template, which many of the older portals are still watermarked with. Keeping it as historical seems like a good solution for this one. — AfroThundr (u · t · c) 05:51, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

While it is a great honour for a rugby player to be selected for his country's Six Nations squad, it is a tournament that happens every year, and for a player with a long career, this would open the door to a massive amount of navbox clutter. Even if we limited it to the winning nation each year, that would still exclude these templates, as Scotland have not won this tournament since 1999, before it was expanded to the now familiar Six Nations format. – PeeJay 10:30, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Navbox with nothing to navigate to. There's only one redlinked title in the content section, so the only link in the entire box is the header itself -- and the box's only transclusion is in the same "header" article, so it results in that article navboxing to itself and nothing else.
