Propose merging Template:Calm with Template:Calm talk.
Two templates for virtually the same thing. ({{calm talk}} has many more transclusions, but I think {{calm}}'s name and text are better.):Jay8g [VTE] 02:34, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'd say I agree. "calm" reads a lot better without assuming that uncivil discussion will take place. I also think that if this is done, "as we try to resolve this issue" should be rewritten to be "as issues are resolved". The way it currently reads sounds like a section header for a specific issue. However, in the page I saw this being used, it was as a talkpage header generally talking about all discussions on the page. Blake (Talk·Edits) 00:25, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. Even though the first four transclusions of the {{Calm}} template are used as talk page headers, I found that the 5th one, Talk:Massimo family, uses Template:Calm as it was meant to be used, i.e., as a section header. So if these two are merged, the wording will have to fit both talk page header and section header. Something like:

  • Support "Calm" is less to type and less to remember.—Auric talk 11:13, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support – Makes sense to merge them. I also support Paine Ellsworth's proposal above. RGloucester 04:10, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
