Template:Former administrative units of Pakistan (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

This is a strange template, half infobox and half navigation-sidebar. It can be replaced by Template:Infobox former subdivision. eh bien mon prince (talk) 17:19, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per nominator. Banhtrung1 (talk) 07:00, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - I agree that the "infobox" part of it should be replaced by "Infobox former subdivision", but why does the rest of the template need deleting? There are plenty of similar templates at Category:"Part of a series on" templates and quite a few of them were "infobox-navboxes" in the past. Certainly it could have been done earlier but bear in mind this template was created several months before "Infobox former subdivision". Green Giant (talk) 20:39, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • split the infobox part from the template, and repurpose this as a 'part of a series' sidebar as suggested by Green Giant. Frietjes (talk) 15:15, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Shrink per GG, the deleted portion would be replaced by the suggested replacement. -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 04:33, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Template:United Arab Emirates men's football squad 2010 Asian Games (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Now I have recognized: no need to create team sport (such as football, handball) navboxes of continental multi-sport events, such as Pan American Games, Asian Games. This navbox should be delete speedy. Banhtrung1 (talk) 07:51, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete A navbox for the tournament is one thing. A navbox for individual team rosters is quite another. These things are just pointless clutter even at the highest levels. I see even less need for them for regional events. Resolute 13:32, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Template:South Africa FHW Squad 2003 Afro-Asian Games (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages) This is a former multi-sport event. This navbox is unnecessary. Afro-Asian Games isn't known worldwide. Banhtrung1 (talk) 06:53, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment – Afro-Asian Games is a annonymous multi-sport event. This navbox should be deleted speedy. Banhtrung1 (talk) 07:48, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Their navboxes are very unnecessary. So they will be delete speedy, similar to football and volleyball. Proof: here, here. Banhtrung1 (talk) 04:31, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pofka: Keep all these templates. It will be useful after a period of time as it shows winning team roster and red links will dissapear later when young players will become more famous.
Hey Pofka, you need to know that no need to create youth and junior tournaments navboxes. All previous discussions confirmed to delete youth and junior competitions navboxes in volleyball and football. Basketball is not exception. Banhtrung1 (talk) 06:55, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all per the nominator. Sawol (talk) 07:02, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete all per my comments at every other roster navbox deletion discussion I have ever participated in. Resolute 13:32, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete, don't need youth squad templates, not a sufficiently notable grouping. Frietjes (talk) 15:16, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No need to create junior tournaments navboxes. They must be deleted speedy, similar to football and volleyball. Proof: here, here. Banhtrung1 (talk) 04:31, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per WP:NENAN...William 12:20, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: I don't agree with deleting them. We use them in the athletes articles to show were they participated, and Junior championships are part of their history as well. Besides, normally junior players tend to become senior players, and then they get and article created. It all a matter of time.--M&m89 (talk) 13:23, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Comment made by Pofka above applies perfectly to this templates as well ("Keep all these templates. It will be useful after a period of time as it shows winning team roster and red links will dissapear later when young players will become more famous.")--M&m89 (talk) 15:12, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Although "it will be useful after a period of time as it shows winning team roster and red links will dissapear later when young players will become more famous", these are junior competitions navboxes. Wikipedians no need to create this template type. All previous discussions confirmed to delete junior and youth competitions navboxes in football and volleyball. This should also be applied with field hockey and all the rest team sports. Banhtrung1 (talk) 06:59, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all per the nominator. Sawol (talk) 07:02, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all per nom. Pofka - we use prose and article expansion to show events which an athlete has participated. These templates are just clutter. Resolute 13:34, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete, no need for youth squad navboxes. Frietjes (talk) 16:55, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
