Template:Similar Games (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Beyond the fact that it's called such a generic name, it's quite obvious, based on the contrib history, that the author is trying to get broader viewings for Zatikon. In addition, there's MANY games that are much more similar to FFT than some of the entries. But beyond all that, there's no real benefit to a mav template in this case, as any actual neutral list would be fully covered by a catagory or list ariticle in the first place. ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ (talk) 17:13, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • It certainly needs to be renamed if not deleted; that kind of generic name is unacceptable. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 03:49, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Apparent POV/original research effort, and even if it weren't, "similarity" to another game is a trivial connection to use for a navbox. Based on that, there could be a navbox for every one of the games that included some or all of the others. --RL0919 (talk) 00:57, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, inherently OR template which doesn't serve a useful purpose. Axem Titanium (talk) 07:28, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Greater Fresno (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Unused template. The counties/cities/towns/subregions it lists all use either Template:Fresno County, California or Template:Madera County, California instead. The main article it links to, Metropolitan Fresno, is in the process of being reworked into Fresno-Madera, CA CSA. Dori ❦ (TalkContribsReview) ❦ 00:50, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Unused and redundant to other templates. --RL0919 (talk) 00:54, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Delete, as previous consensus favors lists and categories for this type of material, rather than navboxes. RL0919 (talk) 00:47, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template:State Roads in Indiana (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

There is a precedent against these; see WP:USRD/P#State highway system templates. Lists and categories make these redundant, the template takes too much space, and the divisions are arbitrary. Rschen7754 (T C) 07:16, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template:User Carthage (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

Has no use. Btilm 02:59, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. The template was just created yesterday, so perhaps it is a work in progress? This seems to be a rather hasty nomination for a template that isn't transcluded outside of the userpage of the person who created it, and does not contain any offensive content. --RL0919 (talk) 18:10, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - I have formatted the template as a userbox for users who attend or attended Carthage College. –BLACK FALCON (TALK) 02:02, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as an acceptable userbox. Userboxes have a use, making "Has no use" an invalid reason to delete the template in its current state. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 03:53, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
