adriana-mugnatto-hamu

I don't know why the article was deleted - I'm guessing lack of notability. I don't know if I'm using the right process to find out - any help would be appreciated. I'm not yet contesting the deletion - I don't even have any information about why it was done, so I wouldn't presume to contest the reasoning. -Bobagem (talk) 19:59, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

It's actually quite easy to find out why it was deleted. The title of the article above is red, which shows that the article does not exist. However if you click on that "redlink" and the article did once exist, you will see the deletion log which shows who deleted it, when and why. In this case it gives a reference to a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adriana Mugnatto-Hamu. The reference to WP:POLITICIAN there is to a policy which says that (to discourage use of Wikipedia as an election campaign platform), merely being an unelected candidate for political office does not confer notability. If you want to pursue this, you should first approach user Cirt (talk), the administrator who closed the discussion; then, if you are not satisfied, you can go to WP:Deletion review. Over-zealous editor removing an article on a prolific voice actor. I mean come on - look at the sheer number of pages that link to him - even from other wikis that cover his roles! -203.122.219.202 (talk) 00:43, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Other wikis are not reliable sources; neither is the IMDb, nor his own websites. Oh, look: that seems to eliminate all the "sources"! --Orange Mike | Talk 00:56, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
I'll also add that this was an unsourced BLP. I'm usually the first to argue that contested PRODs should be restored without any hassle but in cases like this it's better to leave it deleted but allow any editor to write a new sourced article. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 02:43, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

CreditLoan.com

The article was deleted on the basis of G11. Unambiguous advertising or promotion; however the criteria states that "An article about a company or a product which describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for this criterion." The article on CreditLoan is neutral. No negative information was available or it would have been included. The article explains what the website is, and who is behind it. It is a high traffic site, with a large number of financial articles, and is described and referenced in the Wikipedia article, but no recommendations or suggestions of patronage are made. Please reconsider and undelete. -RiverWriter (talk) 02:53, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

  •   Not done Whether or not an article is "Unambiguous advertising or promotion" is subjective but in the view of the deleting admin it was. You need to discuss this with Athaenara. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 03:19, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

PSY (Korean Hip Hop Singer)

Psy is a legendary singer in Korea and deserves a Wikipedia page. The issue was "Expired PROD, concern was: no third party sources to indicate notability". Not sure what that means, but he is definitely a "notable" person. Ask any Korean =P — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.53.199.60 (talkcontribs)

Not done Though deleted by PROD this was an unsourced BLP. However, any editor with an account is free to create a new sourced article on this subject. I'll also be happy to incubate this article upon request. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 04:08, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Done, removed content from other sub-pages in the meantime. January (talk) 21:02, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Even if they are cleared, it might be better not to add back the other sections, which could well get it speedied G11, being all first-person and peacock terms: "We are proud of our TerraLex relationship and the global resources it brings to all of our clients.... dedicated to providing a quick response to clients' needs... innovative solutions... ongoing and immediate benefit to clients of our firm..." JohnCD (talk) 21:46, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

Indian media bias in politics

In India News groups are in business houses hands . Business houses area alaways foucs on their interst. Also this is a big story in past how business houses are beneifited by Indian Govt. So news/ media can be biased or in favour of Govt as all business in india has deep influnce/controll from Govt.

As a Citinizen of India I feel we should know all information arround such topic. I would request you to open this link

That can easily be remedied and I would like to look at the original material and get this article re-published, informatively. Information can be added - I see no reason for the article to be deleted without a chance to revise it. Thanks. -Checkn2cash (talk) 12:50, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

The original material contained canned marketing phrases like "As a leader in the payday lending industry, the company offers small, short-term loans...". No independent sources or any sourcing of any kind to verify the claims. Written by the company, (your account name does seem to have a conflict of interest), I would suggest you read the Business FAQ first to understand our policies. -- Alexf(talk) 13:22, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

  • The image proposed is used in a gallery, normally not allowed, can you supply a reason why it should be used, rather than a description of what it says with a reference? Also the image was over 1000 pixels high, as need to make the text of a newspaper page readable, but this would be too large for a fair use. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:30, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Not done This could just as easily have been deleted as a G11 for its promotional tone. This is a brand-new company which hasn't even issued any product yet; the author seems to feel that reflected importance of a city, an executive, etc. is sufficient to make up for a complete lack of any asserted notability of the subject itself. --Orange Mike | Talk 23:15, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Kay Kristin Boutilier

The article was deleted under A7 and G11 criteria if I remember correctly. As the author, I felt as though neither of these reasons were valid and had been performing edits to ensure, for example, that there was nothing that could be taken as advertising or promotion of any particular group or entity. The article was well referenced and unbiased. The article was about a musician and under the criteria listed in the wikipedia guide as to the relevance of musicians/bands/singers, the subject met multiple of the suggested reasons for being included in wikipedia. I believe that the article was not only deleted without justification, but also before edits/discussion was complete- which should have been obvious by examination of the talk section for the article, in which a discussion on numerous points was being had with the person who had tagged it for speedy deletion to begin with. As the contributor of the article, I think it was deleted without proper review and would appreciate its restoration. Finally, a point that was brought up in the talk was that it was a possible COI, however, I would like to assure that this was not the case. Thank you for the time. -Wiki86420 (talk) 02:19, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Reading Cloggies

reasoning -ChrisJBrady (talk) 09:15, 19 June 2011 (UTC) This page was deleted DESPITE the Talk feature requsting that this not be done. Further - there was no communication from the administrators saying that this would happen. i am not going to waste my life creating pages only to have them arrogantly deleted by self-appointed administrations who know nothing about the subject AND who don't have the courtesy to communicate with the authors they hack and delete. Never again.

Not done. Administrators are not "self-appointed" - they are appointed by the community after a fairly tough grilling and a selection process that lasts a week, and they work to standards agreed by the community. You were notified on your talk page that the article had been tagged for speedy deletion; the notice gave the reasons and relevant links, and it also explained that an article which meets the criteria for speedy deletion, in this case WP:CSD#A7, may be deleted without delay. If you click on the "redlink" to the article, you will see the deletion log which will tell you that the article was deleted by user Nyttend (talk), and he is the person you should approach if you want to proceed. First, read Wikipedia:Your first article and consider whether you can show significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources to meet Wikipedia's notability requirement; if so, ask Nyttend (perhaps more politely than this request?) to userfy the article - copy it into a user sub-page - for you to work on.   Not done. The first few versions of your article were too promotional; also, they were copied from your website, which is not allowed unless a formal copyright release has been made. The last version was not promotional, but it still did not give any reason why the organisation was important or significant enough to have an encyclopedia article. In Wikipedia terms, that's called notability, and is not a matter of opinion: it has to be demonstrated by showing significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. The test is, have people independent of the organization thought it important enough to write substantial comment about? More advice on your talk page soon. JohnCD (talk) 18:16, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

I purposely kept any client name, services, etc. out of the silvertech article. The article was created as it is the company that purchased a historic building, Ash Street School, in Manchester, New Hampshire and therefore felt the basic listing was appropriate. -Jeffmcpherson (talk) 18:53, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

An edit war recently raged at Banknotes of the Indonesian rupiah over how many fair use images can be used in the article, resulting in the page being protected until May 25 on a version without the images. Alas, this rendered the vast majority of the images orphans, resulting in them being nuked on May 20. There is a host of discussions all over the place on the copyright status of the images, which may in fact all be PD or free (see eg. [1], [2], [3]), as well as an RFC on how many fair use banknotes are acceptable; but in the meantime, can we restore the images under their original fair use license, and ideally ensure that they're not nuked as orphans for at least a month of two? The lost images are linked in from this revision. Jpatokal (talk) 12:30, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for posting this-the edit warring by the problematic admin is getting old.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 12:49, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
Hold on a moment... wouldn't it be better to remember what version had them all linked, and then undelete them only when the RFC concludes? Undeleting them now is likely to lead to the edit war's resumption. Courcelles 12:55, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
The topic of the edit war was whether the images should be linked into the article. This is distinct from the fact that the images exist, and keeping the images deleted means that they cannot be used anywhere else either, or retagged as free content if consensus so decides (and it's increasingly looking like that's the case). Not touching this with a ten foot pole. When you get consensus on specific images as to their copyright status or the validity of the FUR, post them individually and I'll restore them. Until then I can't/won't restore the images pending discussion into a holding pen. If they are free, re-upload them to commons. Otherwise just let us know which ones have valid FURs. Which images exactly do you want to move to commons. Post those links and I can restore them (just don't want to mess w/ fair use business). Protonk (talk) 04:05, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Goffs Oak F.C.

Created by the copyright holder, confirmed in ticket 2011062010002517. -– Adrignola talk 18:16, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

I see this was restored and the OTRS permission given on talk page. However, it would be really good in future if you stated what is actually needed to put to bed the copyright issue—that the material had been properly released under a license compatible with ours (or into the PD of course). I assume that occurred and that it is tacit in what you say above, but it really would be good if it was stated more explicitly. The plain meaning of your message would not normally be at all sufficient from a non-OTRS person, i.e., if someone told me "I have confirmed the copyrighted material was added by the copyright holder", the proper reply to that would be "that's good, now have they released the copyright under a suitable license in a verifiable manner?"--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 03:50, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
The talk page notification states the licenses it was released under and the ticket number for verification. My status as an OTRS volunteer implies that I've taken all actions necessary to ensure compliance with copyright laws and project policies. Content of emails is confidential and if a copyright holder has edited the wiki directly and not disclosed it publicly I'm not permitted to identify their username. If I provided all information necessary for a non-OTRS member to verify for themselves that would be a violation of the privacy policy and also defeat the purpose of the OTRS system. – Adrignola talk 16:08, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm wouldn't ask you to disclose any confidential material. In fact, what you say a few posts below is all I would want: "OTRS permission confirmed in ticket...", which is quite different than what you say above. I agree that proper permission is implied by the status of you being an OTRS volunteer, and I said that in my post, but when what I've been told is that an OTRS ticket has confirmed that the copyright holder was the creator (as above), as opposed to confirmation of permission (as below), I'm not sure I wold restore the material based on that.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 23:14, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

shahre mubarak masjid

If you want this kept you need to make your arguments there (though I suggest you read both Wikipedia:Arguments to make in deletion discussions and Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions first). Uncontested PROD. Are notable because they have two releases on a major record (Prosthetic Records). [4] While they barely pass #5 of Wikipedia:NBAND#Criteria for musicians and ensembles, they are a notable band. -TheWeakWilled (T * G) 18:36, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. I will notify user MSJapan (talk), who proposed it, in case s/he wishes to take it to Articles for deletion. It will help if you can add references to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources to confirm notability. JohnCD (talk) 11:55, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Prosthetic is not a major record label, and to claim so is misleading. They may be a sizable indie label with a metal focus, but they are not major, nor are they a subsidiary of the four major labels. I will give this a bit of time for sourcing, but if the label alone was the reason for the undeletion, some research needed to be done first. MSJapan (talk) 15:15, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
PROD is only for uncontested deletion, so a PRODded article is restored without question on any request. JohnCD (talk) 15:45, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Not done. The deletion log shows that this title has been salted after being deleted numerous times both as Sigma Chi Omega and as Sigma_Chi_Omega,_Multicultural_Fraternity,_Inc.. Although copyright concerns were the cause of deletion in April, the deletion this month after Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sigma Chi Omega, Multicultural Fraternity, Inc. was on grounds of notability. Deletions at AfD cannot be undone here. Kindest Lines

Being a page about an artist/musician, it meets the criteria of noteworthiness for having been written out by more than 2 reliable sources independent of the subject itself. It was flagged for speedy deletion, stating the article fails to prove the subject's noteworthiness, which is false. Though sparse, it presented all currently relevant information concerning the artist and contained proper citations. As such, it should be undeleted. -Jacksongravy (talk) 16:35, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Pokeware

Note: I'm not sure what's going on here: the complete text of this article was posted here, twice, just before it was posted as an article at Pokeware. As far as I can see, it has never been deleted, and as an article it may be OK, though there are notability and COI issues. I'll talk to the author. JohnCD (talk) 21:52, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

It's been deleted four times and supposedly protected from creation.--BelovedFreak 21:59, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Now why didn't I see that? It was re-created as POKEWARE, but when I searched "Pokeware" it only turned up the new article, and there were no deleted versions in the author's edit history. It is now at "Pokeware" because I moved it there, thus busting the protection, but the system didn't give me any warning. Google suggested to me that a case for notability could be made. Oh well, bedtime, I'll look into it in the morning. JohnCD (talk) 22:25, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Ah well that explains how it was recreated - I was wondering how the creator had got around the protection! --BelovedFreak 22:40, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

This page should not be deleted because

- This page is not an oprhan article. It can be linked to 3 different internal pages.

- The article was deleted twice. The first article was including references and external links to explain every facts. Everything written is verifiable via external webpage:

- written with a neutral point of view, this article cannot be considered as advertising or promotion.

Not done. The article was previously deleted as a result of a deletion discussion at WP:Articles for deletion/Guillaume dabinpons so, as stated at the top of this page, it will not be undeleted here. If you consider that discussion was wrongly decided, you should approach user Cirt (talk), the administrator who closed it; if you are then not satisfied, you can go to WP:Deletion review. Please note that AfD did not delete the article as an orphan, or as promotional, but because it did not show that he met Wikipedia's requirement of WP:Notability, see also WP:NACTOR. Notable and reliable sources provided -69.141.225.67 (talk) 17:15, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

The original reasons for deleting the page included a lack of notability and not enough reliable sources.

Since the article's deletion, Noble has officially become a registered candidate for Freeholder in Monmouth County, New Jersey, making him the only Socialist candidate[[5]] on the ballot in New Jersey for 2011. He is also the Chair of the Socialist Party of Monmouth and Ocean Counties[[6]].

Noble's candidacy has been featured in the [Asbury Park Press], [Red Bank Green], and [Underground Progressive Radio].

  •   Not done - As announced at the top of the page, this process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially and has no applicability to articles deleted after any deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pat Noble, it cannot be undeleted through this process. Nevertheless, if you believe that the consensus found at the discussion was in error, or that significant new information has come to light since the deletion, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion. After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 17:32, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
    • Also, please note particularly that (in order to prevent Wikipedia being used as an election platform) the policy WP:POLITICIAN says that being an unelected candidate for political office does not confer notability in Wikipedia terms. JohnCD (talk) 21:38, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning people. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning people will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:16, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

Done I have userfied the article User:Szolan/Shalini Bahl, but I honestly see nothing that is salvageable. You need to understand notability very well before trying to make this article work. You also should read reliable sourcing and WP:YOUTUBE. Do not try and move this article back into articlespace until you have checked with some respected senior editors about its quality.
