notability is not temporary; so worldwide headlines from 2008-2010 would count right???

I was the admin who deleted it. What claimed notability is there? I will restore it if there is any possible reason to do so. Merely being Bon Scott's son, or or there being a controversy about whether or not he is his son, is not a claim to notability, especially considering the requirements of WP:BLP. yoga of silence

The article „yoga of silence“ was deleted at the 11.december because of notability-reasons. The deletion debate had very little participation (only two persons). I consider the article as important because of the following points: Yoga of silence is very known in Europe, especially in Germany, Switzerland, France and Russia. It has been established in Germany in 1997 and grown up expeditiously (and still grows). Every weekend there are events in different cities where up to 300 people are taking part in each time. In one year there are also around 20 Retreats (duration 1-2 weeks) all over the world (India, Spain, Italy, Germany, ….). Nevertheless it is presented and discussed at congresses with neurologists, mind researches and in philosophical yoga circles (see link “Weimarer Visionen”). Because this western branch of Jnana Yoga called Yoga of silence is a relatively young phenomenon there is no academic literature about it yet. -Loverofsilence (talk) 13:58, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Tiny Raskal Gang

Request to the article about the "Tiny Raskal Gang". Why: Because the gang is the biggest Asian gang in the USA.[citation needed] And if there are only 2 of the 3 biggest Asian gangs in Wikipedia, theres something wrong. Even the smallest of those 3 (Asian BoyZ) is the 12 biggest in the USA. The issue is not that I want to keep it deleted but what if anything to restore. If you disagree with the deletion itself, you should contact User:User:Nihonjoe and maybe later WP:Deletion review. Actually you need to go to DRV anyways with a good draft because this is only a misspelling of Tiny Rascal Gang which was deleted and salted per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tiny Rascal Gang (3rd nomination), so there is even less we can do here that I originally thought.--Tikiwont (talk) 06:45, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

That is correct, but the stub was created by the creator after even blanking, and it still contained the 'big' claim Mervyn was referring to, whilst I considered the rest as revoked by the author. Actually that even contained on ref, which was removed soon and still would not back up much of the article. [1]. The cited reason for deleting that page was A7 (Doesn't indicate importance or significance of a real person) I believe that is mistaken. Danielle Ouimet was in 10 movies or series, and as an actress, spearheaded the Quebec movie revolution of the 70s.

I am interested to see the extent of the knowledge of the Quebec culture by the people who were involved in the decision to delete the page. I suspect it is akin to a person from Quebec deleting the "Shakespeare" page because it is inconsequential to the Quebec culture. Unless, of course, Wikipedia was a US-Only culture.

Please undelete the page. If Wikipedia has hard disk storage issues, I will be happy to contribute financially.

This can't be restored here because it was deleted as an A7. However, the version that was deleted was very short and didn't say any of what you just said above. I am respectfully requesting that the page for David A. Harris be restored immediately. It was unexpectedly deleted for no apparent reason. Mr. Harris is the Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) a very prominent Global Jewish Advocacy organization. Nothing that appeared on Mr. Harris' page was factually incorrect or inappropriate.   • The article was originally deleted nearing on a half decade ago in a deletion discussion Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David A. Harris due to copyright concerns.     • The original was deleted in February 2006. A tiny stub was created in May 2006 and has been added to steadily ever since. It grew into a puff piece, and has repeatedly been edited by people seeking solid sources, trying to diminish the puffery, etc. The deleted version was still fluffy, but not really a good candidate for speedy deletion. The "Agile-Team (software)" article has been deleted as overly promotional.

However, Agile-Team software is just one of a big serious of project management tools described in the Comparison of project management software. The article was created after I found out that this tool was missed in this comparison table.

I tried to follow Wikipedia rules and recommendations while writing the article. I created the article in my user space with the Article wizard and tried to write it from a neutral point of view. There was no intention to make it promotional. Note that the article included description of features that are compared in the Comparison of project management software table. The deleted article also included a link to competitors.

A number of people looks for comparison of project management tools, and it is nice that Wikipedia gives them such possibility. However, it is important that they receive full information without exclusion of such tools as Agile-Team.

I will be very grateful for any feedback and help in restoring the article and making it useful and answering all Wikipedia requirements.

I do not know this software but being neutral is not enough - it should also be notable. Wikipedia:Esperanza/Coffee lounge

I'm a researcher currently with the GroupLens project at the University of Minnesota. We're looking at the impact of various programs in Wikipedia designed to help new users. In particular, we'd like to do some analysis to determine whether the now-dead Esperanza coffee lounge actually had a positive or negative effect on other forms of Wikipedia editing. I'd love to be able to see and analyze the historical text and history for this page; restoring it to my user space for a period of time would be sufficient. That's more that 5000 versions in the history, so I'd need to double-check whether I can restore them all at once, and would rather do so in place itself under the redirect. Gotcha, that's a lot to restore, and I'm sympathetic. Would it be more straightforward to get me just three versions of the page and its associated talk page, at random points from within its history? (something like, revision numbers 1500, 3000, and 4500)? A few scattered revisions would help me better understand what I'm studying. Email for those would be fine if that's easier. (I have been able to dig up other approaches using Wikimedia tools to get edit counts, dates, etc, but I can't easily access the text itself.) SeparateWays (talk) 19:28, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
It's just that some time after that MfD deletion we introduced a restriction for deleting pages with more that 5000 revisions. Which means that i should be able fully restore it, at least proceeding in chunks, but would need help to get it re-deleted. Still, a temporary history undelete is presumably of most use to you. Just let me know when you don't need it any more. As I commented when nominating the article for deletion, there is a history of single-purpose accounts associated with Hagger's BLP and related articles on his poems (User:GardinerNeDay, User:Livindabedaloca, & User:George199329). As I indicated at the commons discussion, the issue of licensing had been discussed on the file's talk page, which I can't view right now because it hasn't been restored, and the outcome was, as far as I can remember, that it was free. The problem was that sometime after the file was uploaded to commons, the licensing page changed and the image was no longer available on it. It appeared that ONE person had a problem with the page as it existed, although it was factually similar to pages on other publishing companies and was modeled after such pages. The Quick Deletion process did not allow for sufficient time to properly defend the page at the time.

Faith2Share

Speedy deletion was used because this was suspected of being a promotional page. It was not. It was an academic attempt to explain a phenomenon which already has several references in other articles within Wikipedia. As Wiki is currently weak in the area of religion and specifically Chrisatian mission, as an academic in this field, I am trying to update some of this - see my edits in several other articles. I am a member of the International Association of Mission Studies and committed to extending the understanding of mission into Wiki and other electronic media. Faith2Share struck me as a particularly interesting new phenomenon in mission. Incidentially as a 'closed network' (and not a company or anything similar) I don't think Faith2Share would be interested in 'promotion' even if my article sought to do that - which it does not. Did your article meet the notability requirements?
In other words, if something was important enough, then other people would talk about it and there would be mentions of it in magazines, newspapers, books, good websites (not blogs), etc. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and we try to cite good sources to back up the things we say here. I think it invalid to state the reason this page is being deleted is because the individual's only historical significance is that he was the husband of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge when in fact he was Hitlers personal valet prior to Mrs Junge ever meeting Hitler or becoming his secretary and they were married on Hitler's suggestion. He is far more historically significant than was suggested by the person initiating the deletion

I could research this, Wikipedia, but this is the point. Your processes have grown too cumbersome. Your editor deleted an article. I have objected to that deletion. It is a simple matter. Many would-be contributors are not going to bother (or may not be able) to explore your legalistic system in order to voice a simple objection.

I have the permission from Nomads South Africa to reproduce the text on the Wikipedia article, however I accept the verbosity of the text is such that it needs to be refined and cut down to a suitable encylopedic entry. It should be noted that neither of the links you have referenced are under copyright notice therefore without permission I can reproduce, however in this instance as mentioned before I have the full support of all clubs in Nomads SA to reproduce any text from their websites. I am not sure in what form a written statement of consent is required as proof, please advise on that point. Before I found out the article had been deleted it was my intention to update the broken links to properly qualify for notability and edit/update the article to a suitable/acceptable level under Wikipedia policies. I am not sure what the 15KB of copy pasted material is but you must understand that I am technically inferior in the knowledge required to easily navigate through the many hoops required for posting to Wikipedia. Can the article please be reinstated so I can make the relevent edits required for compliance?

3 books in print--none self-published, numerous awards for writing, links to sources and evidence of such throughout the article.

warnings on the page were repeatedly answered, such as insufficient notoriety. My most recent of three books was listed as a finalist for the Frank O'Connor Award, an international prize originating in Dublin. All three books were prize-winning short fiction collections. There's no vanity press work here. More than 100 of my memoirs and short stories are in print--but the complaint from Wikipedia seemed to have been insufficient online evidence. That feels a bit circular--you're famous if there are a lot of links; if there are a lot of links, you're famous.

The Variety includes references to Bond#24 / The Visitor screenplay. Michig has not conveniently answered to critisism and private references to Matrix trilogy. I am Rickie Lee Jones, a new member to Wikipedia.

wikipedia is, as I have read, not only a discography but a factual biography of artists. It is created by users, and it includes opionions as well as opinion of fact. That is, what a thing 'meant' to a career. My inclusion of a paragraph in 1970's about Rickie Lee Jones and Chuck E Weise was deleted from the entire history of Tom Waits, and I find this most offensive and peculiar, since the relationship is well documented. You should discuss that on the article talk page and try to reach WP:Consensus with other users - see WP:BRD for how Wikipedia works. But note that Wikipedia is not for "opinions": the WP:Verifiability policy says that "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth; that is, whether readers can check that material in Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true."
