Korea edit

An edit war is quickly developing (although not a high-speed edit war) between Appleby and Kamosuke. The key issue appears to be whether some World War II-era Japanese official documents could be considered reliable enough. I am not at all an expert in the area and don't know how to mediate, but I think somebody should. I've placed notices on their talk pages. --Nlu 09:49, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

you can see it's not just me reverting kamosuke. kamosuke is insisting on adding "official" numbers of the japanese puppet gov't at the time it occupied korea, to show that the occupation wasn't so bad. obviously, this is an npov problem. i've asked & asked & begged him to discuss, pointed him to wikipedia sourcing policies, explained in edit comments, & offered to work with him in making changes in proper english if he would provide some independent sources, but he just keeps on going, at least since nov 19, probably since nov 6 or even earlier [1] [2] [3] [4] Appleby 17:26, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Flcelloguy - here you go. Redwolf24 (talk) Attention Washingtonians! 00:44, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Appleby, I presume that you are willing to accept mediation? Kamosuke, please also indicate whether or not you are willing to participate in mediation. Thanks a lot! Flcelloguy (A note?) 01:38, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
yup, willing & able. i think the scope of the disagreement has narrowed significantly, but we are still having trouble communicating to avoid reverts. Appleby 01:42, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Awaiting acceptance by Kamosuke. Flcelloguy (A note?) 00:50, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
i believe kamosuke has accepted, but at the talk page of the article. there is a serious communication problem underlying this "debate." & now he's making similar edits in History of Korea Appleby 19:16, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for the delay of the answer. I accept mediation. Kamosuke 21:00, 4 December 2005

How would you guys like to do this? On Wikipedia, email, or IRC? I prefer either on Wikipedia or email, but IRC's fine with me as well. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 16:30, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

i would prefer wikipedia, then email. i'm not familiar with irc. thanks. Appleby 16:40, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I hope in the same condition as Appleby. Kamosuke 7 December 2005 (UTC)
