Full meaning of a cryptic SMS

edit

I have got an SMS from my friend that i am presenting here verbatim within quotes quotes are not part of sms", ,,,,,,x v" i searched the net if this has any meaning but couldn't find one do you have any idea 45.120.16.206 (talk) 14:29, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • It means your friend accidentally typed some random text before hitting send. --Jayron32 16:52, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not familiar with the operation of smartphones, but when repeating characters are sent it usually means that some object is pressing down on one of the keys. I note that the entire text is made up of characters from the bottom line of the keyboard. As to why your friend sent this, someone once sent me a voicemail which consisted of a message followed by a very long pause followed by a highly compromising conversation which the sender was obviously unaware had been picked up - the electronic equivalent of putting letters in the wrong envelopes. 2A00:23C0:7F02:C01:9DCF:5631:446B:F686 (talk) 09:55, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
In other words, you've been butt dialed. (Apparently, our butts, no longer having the patience for a live conversation, have now moved on to texting.) StuRat (talk) 15:39, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Identify an American Acura

Is it possible to identify the model of car from the small portion I pictured here? I was only concentrating on the combination of damage and funny inscription, and I didn't think to photograph or write down anything about the model. Nyttend (talk) 22:50, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

By the rims, a 2013-2015 Acura ILX. Of 19 (talk) 23:31, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's a dead ringer for a 2010 Acura TSX. Look at the bumper profile and the rims, this is almost identical to the main picture we have at that article. --Jayron32 02:13, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
