Egyptian pyramid building under sun heat

How did ancient Egyptian builders cope with potentially sizzling air temperatures when building pyramids? I assume such labor-consuming projects required some serious cooling logistics behind, including huge supplies of drinkable water. 213.134.142.249 (talk) 12:34, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Most of the low-level laborers on the pyramids were farmers who were seasonally available only when agricultural work didn't take up their time. The Flooding of the Nile took place in the late summer -- they weren't working on pyramids then... AnonMoos (talk) 14:13, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Paleoclimatology should also be taken in consideration. The African humid period helped give rise to the Ancient Egyptian civilization and the 4.2-kiloyear event helped bring the Old Kingdom (aka: "Age of the Pyramids") to an end. The climate in the region in-between is somewhat debatable; however, it was not likely significantly different from today.
