editNBA officials uniforms
editIn a lot of sports, the match officials wear a uniform that doesn't clash with the competing teams. Is there a reason that NBA officials wear a light grey uniform that is very close to the white of many teams. Hack (talk) 01:51, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

- None of the teams wear the gray color that is the standard official's uniform. It contrasts sufficiently with white that it doesn't cause a problem during games. --Jayron32 14:24, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
- [Edit Conflict] Momentary confusion could cause players to hesitate, to their teams' detriment, without going so far as to result in any actual mis-aimed passes. It should also be noted that - in the age of 1000s of sports TV, radio, tweeting and blogging outlets - if this was a problem it would have been bloviated about somewhere. - Of note: Weddings in India can be a completely different affair than weddings elsewhere. I attended one day of a 9-day wedding for a colleague's son. It included two separate concerts, a carnival, and a zoo. Williams sisters and Federer/Nadal
editIf Rafa Nadal makes the Australian Open final, then there will be Federer/Nadal in the Men's Final, and Venus and Serena Williams paired in the women's final. Has that combination happened before in a Grand Slam tournament, and when? - For the record I got the information from the Wikipedia page Williams sisters rivalry which gave me a list of finals they have contested, and then cross-referenced with each Grand Slam Former Winners page to check the relevant mens finals. As the OP, just again I appreciate the good info, that someone did the 'work' to compare the data, and provide it here. I just watched Nadal win the semi - so we replay 2008. Brilliant.
