Religious Views

edit

My daughter is doing a paper on Jared Leto and she was wondering what his Religious views are? If you could please help me I would be extremely greatfull. Thank you for all your help. Sincerely Tammy Morelli. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.109.182.181 (talk) 00:13, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

His article here Jared Leto seem quite long so I would guess he has not publicly said what religion if any he follows. If you can't find out straightforwardly by a search on the web I'd forget about something like that and just consider it as private. Dmcq (talk) 08:50, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The above article says this year's creative arts emmys will be tomorrow, but it does not say what channel. 64th Primetime Emmy Awards says the main awards will be on ABC, but says nothing about where the creative arts awards will be broadcast. Any info on this? TRLIJC19 (talkcontribs) 00:42, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It won't be carried live, but a 2-hour edited "highlights" show will air on ReelzChannel on Saturday, September 22 at 8:00 Eastern and Pacific. See [1]. --Jayron32 00:49, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Grr, okay thanks. TRLIJC19 (talkcontribs) 00:57, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

See American Broadcasting Corporation, to start. StuRat (talk) 23:53, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Paul Lee is the head of ABC: [2]. StuRat (talk) 00:00, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ben Sherwood is the head of ABC news: [3]. StuRat (talk) 00:11, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And here I always thought that stood for Australian Broadcasting Corporation. μηδείς (talk) 01:23, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Two clicks geolocates the IP to California. It would not be an unreasonable thing to think the OP was looking for an American network. But your point is noted. --Jayron32 02:42, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I went off the Disney ref in the OP to figure which one was meant. StuRat (talk) 02:46, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In some U.S. states, "ABC news" would mean the latest information about the Alcoholic Beverage Commission. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 04:21, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The world's fastest politician

edit

Noting that British parliamentarian Matthew Parris has a marathon PB of a very creditable 2:32:57, I wondered which other politicians could beat that. Lasse Virén, who later became a Finnish MP, has a time of 2:13:11 (I don't know if that's his competitive best - his IAAF page doesn't cover his marathon running). Does any politician, elected to a national chamber like Parris and Virén, have a marathon personal best that beats Viréns? -- Finlay McWalterTalk 21:58, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you're looking for the "fastest" politician, you might be better off looking for sprint competitors.
Seb Coe was somewhere in the middle, neither a sprinter nor a marathoner. But then, he was never elected to office but appointed to the House of Lords, so scrub all that. -- ♬ Jack of Oz[your turn] 23:27, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And here I thought you were going to ask about the quickest time between an election and forgetting all their campaign promises. :-) StuRat (talk) 23:51, 15 September 2012 (UTC) [reply]
And here I was wondering what PB meant until the last five words of the question. Dismas|(talk) 00:48, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If only politicians were as fast as Vladimir Putin. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:04, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I am pretty sure Senator John Glenn got some mighty impressive speeds during his pre-political career. --Jayron32 02:39, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Christopher Chataway, who could also be said to have invented the London Marathon, and was one of Sir Roger Bannister's pacemakers when he broke the 4 minute mile barrier, was MP for Lewisham North at one stage. Andrei Shevchenko, the Ukrainian footballer, has recently retired to follow a career in politics, and a few defenders in the English Premier League will tell you he wasn't particularly slow! --TammyMoet (talk) 03:30, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hah. Kim Jong-il smokes them all with a 1:57:30 time, just edging out Paul Ryan. It says so right here. Clarityfiend (talk) 06:05, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
