Entertainment riddle

edit

I was the only one in the 70s, and I had a hit. Who am i?.Okay as ambiguous as this entertainment riddle is,it actually ain't( though i don't know the answer)..I need to use the boolenic marks in Google to narrow down my search. I landed on wikipedia and got Mary Tyler Moore. She was the first lady on T.v in the 70s, to portray a working woman. And she had a hit. I was close but ,thats not the answer. If anyone who has an idea to this entertainment riddle holla. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.220.225.250 (talk) 05:59, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to say Peter Perrett of The Only Ones, whose most famous song as Another Girl, Another Planet. But our article says it wasn't ever a hit, so I guess that can't be it. --Richardrj talk email 07:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Football

edit

This is where sports questions go, right? On the basis that it is, here is my question: what three players, playing for the same European club, have scored the most goals between them? Eg at Man Utd, Carlos Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney have scored 72 between them in all competitions. How about other clubs? Like Chelsea where you have Anleka, Lampard & Drogba (I'd assume those are their three top scorers) 81.96.161.104 (talk) 14:23, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Above 50: Bayern Munich are 64, Sevilla are on 60, Ajax are on 55 (excluding domestic cup data), Real Madrid are on 51, Arsenal are on 50, but noone seems to come that close. It's very likely that it's Man United, assuming you only want top level clubs in the major leagues. And including goals not scored for their club (ie international, at former clubs as with Anelka) confuses the issue even more. I'm afraid I don't have easily gettable figures for that. --Iae (talk) 21:18, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot! I couldn't seem to find reliable statistics for all the major leagues. Thank you. Michael Clarke, Esq. (talk) 17:06, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Source of this sample of a string ensemble

edit

Does this audio sample sound familiar to anyone? I took this bit from some electronic music a friend of mine was listening to it, and it sounds pretty good. I'd very much like to know the origin of this sample. Reminds me vaguely of strings from The Day the Earth Stood Still, but it's certainly not from there. Anyway, I hope anyone can help. Cheers! — 189.15.109.8 (talk) 17:50, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Married with Children being 80s

edit

Does Married with Children count as an 80s show? Heegoop, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

At least half of it, given that the show ran from 1987 to 1997. — Kieff | Talk 22:17, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've found that when shows start is when they're classified, even late in the decade. Julia Rossi (talk) 22:42, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
