Pleas for aid

Since 95% of Greenburg, Kansas has been wiped out by a tornado, why hasn't there been any televised marathons asking viewers for donations, with the funds going to the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity? Those types of things were done in the aftermaths of 9/11, the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, and Hurricane Katrina. There also hasn't been any televised marathons asking for donations, with the funds going to the above charities and to UNICEF and Save the Children, in the aftermath of the 2007 Solomon Islands earthquake. Shouldn't anything be done? -- 72.229.130.76 18:21, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe the charities already have enough money and workers to cover their work in the area. --Phydaux 20:49, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because of the massive difference in scale. 11 people died in Greenburg, Kansas, compared to some 230,000 dead or missing in the tsunami. StuRat 02:49, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Movie Star addition

edit

Hi: My Mom was an RKO Film child star, much like Shirley Temple (same time and type). I wanted to start a page for her and I did, however I am not sure how to get it to look like, say: Shirly Temple's Wikipedia Page? She has a place for bio, filmography, date of birth section and such. I only have a blank page full of her info which I saved and that's just the way it looks. Can you help me? I'd really appreciate it very much. Take care, Piress 21:55, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You might to take a look at Wikipedia:How to edit a page regarding wiki markup. Pax:Vobiscum 22:15, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What's the article called? Or edit (without saving) the Shirley Temple article to see how it's set up. Clarityfiend 01:09, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Surely you can copy Shirley. On Shirley's page, pick "edit this page", use Control A to select all, then Control X to cut, but don't save. Then go to your new article, and do a Control V to paste. Then it's just a matter of changing everything to make a Shirley-free version. StuRat 02:44, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The article appears to be June Preston. Corvus cornix 18:16, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
