January 28 edit

Full House edit

In the show Full House what is that phrase that Kimmy Gibbler says that is in Spanglish almost every time she goes in Bob Saget's house? It's aggravating the heck out of me and on the tip of my toungue! FireSpike

"Kimmy Gibbler: Hola Tannneritos."? For future reference, IMDB has memorable quotes. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 05:11, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What is the title of the piece in the opening of Amadeus, after Salieri attempts suicide? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.117.53.148 (talk) 02:12, 28 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Romantic scenes in Movies edit

How realistic are love scenes in hollywood movies? Do actors have sex while love making in hollywood TV Shows and movies? Garb wire 13:12, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(1) Well, they're more realistic than they used to be, but people often follow what they see on film, even if it's not normal in real life. (2) Sometimes; you might want to read the introduction to our list of mainstream films with unsimulated sex.--Shantavira 13:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You can look at it the other way around: The Edge Foundation asked its members to participate in discussing the question "What is the most important invention in the past two thousand years?" Several contributors suggested television or television series, because they "accelerated the intensity of intrasexual mate competition", or because TV "serves as a tremendous behavior patterning device". As Woody Allen put it: ""Life doesn't imitate art, it imitates bad television." ---Sluzzelin 20:03, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

will young in the US edit

hi, i once heard that Will Young (the winner of the original Pop Idol) was going to be promoted heavily in the US on the condition they he kept schtum about being gay to the american press. does any one know if this is true? also, its seems over here in britain, we have quite a few gay celebrities, a sizable chunk of whom are "international" (elton john, ian macklellan, alan cumming etc) anyway, yadda yadda, obviously i dont live in the states, but it does seem that perhaps being openly gay is a barrier to your career. Am i wrong? Maybe i'm just having a memory block.. Could you name a few American, non-dead, gay celebs i may have heard of (apart from "that guy" from Nsync. thanks 17:29, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Do lesbians count? If so, Ellen DeGeneres, Rosie O'Donnell.... Well, I can only think of lesbians now that you mention it. (Gandalf's gay?) Guess they do try to omit those facts. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 18:43, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The last American actor/celebrity I remember coming out of the closet in public was T. R. Knight from Grey's Anatomy, in October last year. Have a look at the four pages linking from List of gay, lesbian or bisexual people and see which names look familiar to you. ---Sluzzelin 20:32, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Recall that Neil Patrick Harris came out - was outed - in November. Wolfgangus 01:45, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Richard Simmons … − Twas Now ( talkcontribse-mail ) 11:19, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at that article, he has denied being gay and there is no evidence that he is, so it doesn't really fit with the question. However, thanks for the link; it explained a Simpson's quote to me :-) Skittle 16:47, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There was also Greg Louganis though. He announced he was gay, and then he was HIV positive ("gay disease"), and went from being the sexiest man alive to... somebody you never heard of again. [Mαc Δαvιs] X (How's my driving?) ❖ 04:26, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NHL Draft edit

I have a vague idea of what "conditional draft picks" and "future considerations" are in terms of the NHL. However, I would like a more detailed explannation with maybe some examples of what they are exactly and how they differ from a "normal" draft pick.

Thank you.63.135.8.94 23:26, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know in what context these terms were used, but I will see what I can do. Future considerations would be people who are too young (you have to be at least 18) but nonetheless show promise. Conditional draft picks would seem to mean players who are already under a contract, and would require the parties involved in that contract to agree to releasing the player from the contract. You also might want to ask here WT:HOCKEYTwas Now ( talkcontribse-mail ) 11:09, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the above. Take this trade for example: To Anaheim: Chris Pronger. To Edmonton: Joffrey Lupul and Ladislav Smid, One 1st round pick, 2nd Round pick and one conditional first round pick. What is the difference between a 1st round pick and a conditional first round pick? Thanks

A conditional pick is just what it says. The two teams draw up conditions that have to be met before the pick is transferred, usually something like the traded player having to score at least x goals or play in y games or pass drug tests. It could be anything that can be legally verified. (If I were trading for Terrell Owens, I would demand that he just SHUT UP. That way, I'd be guaranteed not to lose a draft pick.) Future considerations means that at some point in the future, one of the parties will get some compensation, whatever the teams agree to. Clarityfiend 17:34, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bionicle: Mata Nui Online Game 2 edit

Hey, in the Mata Nui Online Game 2: The Chronicler, what do you do when you get stuck in a dark room with a big red dot in the middle? It only seems to happen when one logs out and logs back into the game some time later.--JDitto 05:15, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Second set of lyrics for 1954 movie theme "High and the Mighty" edit

I recently read the Wikipedia article on lyrics for "High and the Mighty". The article said that Ned Washington wrote the lyrics, but that there existed another set of lyrics. The second set of lyrics was much rarer and alluded to the Deity. Does anybody know how I can get the second set of lyrics---- —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.254.24.9 (talk) 13:26, 29 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]
