NFS Carbon graphics edit

Hello, I just installed the new Need for speed Carbon game. Every time I run it, first it doesn't show the intro video, but i hear the sounds and then in the game everything is made up of blocks and nothing is understandable. My computer meets the system requirements for the game. What can I do? --(Aytakin) | Talk 00:06, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

U sure you met the specifications for the graphic card and everything else? Most of the time, the prob is caused by graphic cards that aren't suitable for the game --K.Z Talk Vandal Contrib 02:19, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, i have a GForce 4 and that's what is required --(Aytakin) | Talk 02:32, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Something might have gone wrong with the installing. The installation might have been corrupted. Does restarting ur computer solve anything? If it doesn't, try checking the installed folders. Some games, such as the NFS Most Wanted have videos in the WMF or more rarely, in the AVI or MPEG formats. Try using a player to play these files. If the videos can not be accessed or doesn't work, try reinstalling. If they do work, check ur direct X. Just wondering, but what windows edition do u have? --K.Z Talk Vandal Contrib 02:19, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It sounds like a Direct X issue. Ensure that you have the latest version. If you can access the game options, you might also want to lower resolution / detail level etc, lower everything to the minimum, make sure it works then, then turn it up a little at a time until it goes to slowly or blocky. If you have bought a legitimate copy, which, of course, I am sure you have, you can also contact the game's manufacturers, who will have a technical support line for this kind of issue. If it is a Direct X issue, it would be pretty peculiar. NFS games usually install the compatible direct x before it installs the game. If none of the following work, i suggest you have the game checked out by an expert. This is a long shot...but could ur computer hace a virus or malware of any sort? Some viruses can disable specific files activating, or change the way it works. --K.Z Talk Vandal Contrib 02:19, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fate of Norns edit

Are there any published covers of Amon Amarth's song "Fate of Norns," or any other songs from that album, with clean vocals? That's my only complaint, and apparently a common one, against an album with excellent lyrics, excellent riffs and excellent drumming. NeonMerlin 04:28, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

site for songs edit

can ne1 tell me a site for free online new english songs???? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 59.144.71.41 (talk) 16:14, 14 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

If you're looking for hits/ commercially released songs, the odds are slim of finding something released legally or by permission of the artist... 惑乱 分からん 19:44, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Some bands, like Muse and You Say Party! We Say Die! let you listen to their songs on their websites; Muse have their entire catalogue on their website, although you can't download the songs. Also, check the band's MySpace; these often have their singles available to listen to or even download. Laïka 21:43, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Check out music.download.com. The music is not by mainstream artists, but rather developing artists. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 04:44, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Arrested Development edit

What appear to be the odds of Arrested Development coming back...even if it's not on FOX? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.81.188.143 (talk) 18:51, 14 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Have you seen our Arrested Development page? The odds aren't good. Mitchell Hurwitz has declined to be involved in anything short of a movie and Showtime won't make the series without him. There is speculation about a movie, but nothing solid. Sorry. --Cody.Pope 02:27, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, coming from a fellow AD fan, not looking good. Cyraan 16:51, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
