editQuestion about time display formats in Windows 11
editMy old computer has Windows 10. On the task bar on the bottom, all the way to the right-hand side, it lists the date and time. If I click that area, it will display this month's calendar ... and it will "count" the time in one-second increments. For example, the time will display as ... 11:30:01 PM ... and then ... 11:30:02 PM ... and then ... 11:30:03 PM ... and so on. When I do the same thing on my new computer that has Windows 11, it will only display and count the time in one-minute intervals. So, it will display ... 11:30 PM ... I have to wait 60 seconds ... then it will display 11:31 PM ... I have to wait 60 seconds ... then it will display 11:32 PM ... and so on. No seconds are ever displayed or counted, just full-minutes. Is there some type of setting in Windows 11 that I can change that will force the clock to report time in one-second intervals, as it used to do in Windows 10? Thanks. Joseph A. - Thank you. Let me check that out. I will get back, after I have read the page at that link. And see if I am able to resolve my issues. Thank you. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 20:53, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
Ticketmaster Android App Authenticated Me Without Logging In
editI have an account with TicketMaster and up until today, have always used their website to buy and view tickets. Today, I decided to install the Ticketmaster app on my Android phone. When I launched the app, I expected to be prompted for my user name and password. Instead, I was already logged into my account. How is this possible? A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 17:53, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
- The app gets permissions to access basically everything on the device, which you can see from looking at the permissions details. Is your TicketMaster account linked to a Google account associated with the phone, by chance? Otherwise, what about phone number? I was under the impression that if an app tries to access a Google account, Android prompts you to approve access; I'm not sure if that can be disabled so it gives access automatically. --47.155.96.47 (talk) 02:20, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
- Did you log in to the website on your phone as well? The app might be using their website/your phones browser to communicate on the background, so cookies/saved logins would be present for the app already. Quite a few apps are basically "stand alone" web pages nowadays. Rmvandijk (talk) 15:16, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
