Real Life is a strange mysterious land far far away from the safe, reassuring world of Wikipedia. It is inhabited by non-Wikipedians who are natives. Some brave, strong Wikipedians who can survive long enough to visit it stay there often when away from our world. Others have no idea about the dangers of the Real World and stay away from there as much as possible.

Dangers of the Real World edit

The real world is known to be unpredictable. There are all sorts of stories, some true about what happens there. These are:

  • Homesickness
  • Accidental use of WikiSpeak
  • Typing tildes at the end of your emails
  • Telling others to abide by WP:NPA.

True Story edit

A user called User:Example once ventured into unknown territory in the Real World and found himself lost. He was creating an article about his favourite television show and was caught in a power cut. Little did he know that after his power cut was finished, Wikipedia was caught in a blackout for A WHOLE DAY. Example sat in front of his computer waiting for a chance to start editing again.

The moral: Wikipedia is not the real world.
