Sutton Hoo burial mound edit

One of the burial mounds at Sutton Hoo, Suffolk, England. This picture, taken during the Summer Solstice sunset on 21 June 2006, shows Mound 2 which is the only one of the Sutton Hoo mounds to have been reconstructed to its supposed original height

I took this photo during the Summer Solstice sunset this year. It's of one of the burial mounds at Sutton Hoo, Suffolk, UK. I've recently added it to the Sutton Hoo article since that article lacked any photos of the actual site.

Going over the FP Guidelines:

1. Be of high quality - I don't think it's bad, but I'm no expert. Comments please!
2. Be of a high resolution Yes
3. Be Wikipedia's best work. It's the only picture on Wikipedia I can find of Sutton Hoo, and looks to be one of the better examples of burial mounds generally. See Tumulus for some others
4. Have a free license Yes
5. Add value to an article Yes
6. Be accurate Yes - has not be modified at all
7. Be pleasing to the eye I love the colours and the shadows, but it feels a bit full on - comments welcome
8. Have a good caption - Again, comments welcome
9. Be neutral Yes

Comments:

  • Contrast is poor in this shot. It would look better if the sun was not hitting the other side of the mound. Bcirker 23:38, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Way too dark. It's hard to tell what it even is. Phaldo 16:26, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
